Although you can tell the building is aging, it is evident that efforts are continuing to be made to maintain it with renovations and repairs. The pool area was fantastic - clean and bright and very nicely sized and well stocked with towels. It was great to have courtyard access from our room, even with the snow it was good to be able to step outside every now and then to enjoy the spring without having to leave the hotel. The room was clean and well sized with sufficient lighting. It was difficult to find locations to charge devices as the built in lamp plugs don't accommodate the plugs but we made it work. The bathroom was clean and well stocked though it has a low ceiling and clearly some paint patching is required but these were insignificant issues for us, as we realize issues like that take a little more to rectify than just a quick fix. Staff were friendly and polite, and we felt welcome upon our arrival. The free breakfast at the restaurant was decent with great staff, and we appreciated the noon check out time.
Checked into the Radisson this afternoon. Faith at the front desk was very pleasant, welcoming and positive. I have been in and out throughout the day and all day have seen rude guests verbally abusing Faith for things that were not within her control. She maintained a calm and professional demeanour and went above and beyond what these rude customers deserved. I really want to commend her for doing her best to help others while maintaining composure and professionalism in the difficult times. Your excellent service was noticed.
The hotel's indoor pool is a standout feature. Its cleanliness and bright ambiance, enhanced by large windows, create a welcoming environment for relaxation. The pool's generous size accommodates both leisurely swims and more vigorous exercise routines. Additionally, the on-site fitness center is well-equipped with modern exercise machines, catering to various workout preferences.
Other than the highend Hotels in Niagara Falls. This is the best midrange hotel I've been in. Clean, great staff, huge pool, finess room is an actual fitness room. Most hotels have a 20x20 ft. Room with a treadmill and some dumbells. This has multiple treadmills, kettle bells, and dumbells. Room to work with just body weight. Right downtown, with fairly easy access to the entire city. Indoor and outdoor parking. Breakfast is good, the restaurant setting is nice, you're not just sitting in a lobby eating.nnAnyways, long story short. I've stayed in many different here in Sudbury, and this will be my go-to going forward.nnThanks, Radisson, for making the 5 days easy
Ok. As we got in the room was clean, bit there were 2 tiny haires in the bathtub & I heard the supervisor tell a cleaner to reclean another bathroom a couple of doors down. The restaurant staff is friendly but the look lost when serving a lone & having others take on a police banqoute. I'd say hire a bartender & have a server on & maybe someone a bit more mature. The coffee machine is hidden underneath the TV so you can't really fill up the water without making a mess. Have it more accessible. My bf's & my room cards kept getting deactivated 3 or 4 times randomely, they weren't near any phones at those times. The families with kids wouldn't listen to the no diving rules or take showers before getiing in the beforehand. The hot tub was covered up by plants. The bedroom doors don't shut nicely so everyone slams their doors shut as they leave... i was trying to nap. Our parking pass didn't work when we needed to go underground due to lack of space & we had to get another pass from the desk. This place needs new & better management, fire the big wigs & redo the hotel, it looks too shaggy. Learn from toronto's hotels. & this hotel was better rated then the others in town... sad.
