They canceled my appointment after I had already arrived and was doing the intake interview, because it was 4pm, we were running a little late, and the one tech they had on staff had to be somewhere by 5. They could have canceled earlier and saved everyone a lot of time.
I had imaging done at CMC for a hip issue. The images were read originally by this practice who found no issues. The images were then read by three other doctors who were clearly able to see there was an issue. Based on these radiographs I had surgery to fix my hip. The insurance claim was denied because the imaging report stated incorrectly that there was no issue. During the appeal process I asked them to reinterpret the imaging; they refused to change their analysis. Only after the medical director for Cornell spoke to them did they change the imaging report and my insurance claim was accepted. While luckily in this case there was no delay in medical care because of this mis-diagnosis, the issue with the report caused me to have to go through many hours of extra work in order to get my claim paid.
