I was charged an hourly rate and I have proof on the invoice. The only fake reviews are the friends and family who appeared miraculously after my first review. I was charged higher than the rate of a professional based on google for a stone mason for sub par work. I supplied the tile and the price I was billed for hourly work was double the quote I received from another contractor. Rick told me he was offering the hourly rate to help me as I am a single mother. He hired a student and charged me 2 guys at the same hourly professional rate. They dragged a tile cutter into the basement, wrecked my stairs and got tile dust over everything. Grout lines are all different sizes, I stub my toe on tile that sticks up and they used the wrong caulking because it all came off. Do not recommend.

We have used RM Knapp and Sons for all of our construction needs over the past 15 years. From whole buildings to kitchen renovations to a new roof to minor repairs we have always been very satisfied with their workmanship . They have been available to us 24/7 when necessary and have always been excellent at working with us to get the project results we wanted. We even sent him hundreds and miles away to renovate our cottage. And please note, we are using our real names and would be more than willing to show anyone the work they have done for us. I recently purchased a property in Chesley that required foundation work. I asked around and Rick was highly recommended. His quote was exactly what the final bill was and he always got back promptly when I had a question. He takes the time to explain what needs to be done, keeps me in the loop during construction and does a thorough job. I am still using Rick for other upgrades.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a handyman ever. He promised he could do everything and had experience doing everything but everything he did was subpar. In the end he charged me way over and above what it would have cost for a professional to do the same job because it took him so long. If you hire this guy, get a quote up front instead of hourly wage. It has been a long time since I had this work done and I am still unhappy when I look at the low quality work. It looks like we have been the victim of a fake complaint as the only complaint above come from a fake account. We have never heard of or worked for any body by that name. It is to bad that some people feel it is necessary to do this to others but some folks are just twisted. This is a big problem that google is seaming to condone as we look into it more it seams google is allowing things like this to happen and they really don't seam to care. we will be removing all google accounts so we will not be victims to people like this.
