R and G Coffee

Cute decor in this Dundas west coffee shop. Was a last minute drop in during Do West Festival. Nicely decorated. Has both coffee, shirts, and gifts, etc to purchase. Coffee is from DeMello Coffee Roasters. Espresso was strong. Only took interac and cash when I went. Corrado was $4...latte is $5. If in the area, would go again. Service was quick.

I tried a lot of coffee spots in Toronto and this is my favourite! Love the taste of the coffee and tea here. It's a cute little spot that also serves as a half clothing/gift shop some cool gifts here. Pretty cool and will always drop by when I'm in the area.

tl;dr less than unfriendly service & lack of seating are my primary reasons for not needing to visit again. do not recommend. was really looking forward to trying this place but ~9am this Monday my experience turned me off completely, which is unfortunate given how highly this place is otherwise reviewed - I’m sure read: hope that my experience was a one-off but here goes: barista serving didn’t say a word and I got the feeling that I was a nuisance for visiting here and coming in while finishing a call - ordered an americano w/ oat milk & sugar which is kept behind the counter. so, she scooped some into my drink without asking how much i’d like, pushed the cup back towards me without a word then i had to trouble her for a stir stick or spoon which they do not have/aren’t available for customer use. again, without another word, she stirred it up, half put on my lid and i hustled out of there for some much needed fresh air before checking and spilling some my fault, i accept!. overall - disappointing experience for an average priced americano in a place with, literally, 3 chairs + 1 table. it was made clear from the start that I was not welcome, even bothersome, for ordering, let alone welcome to sit and stay. can’t fairly comment on the espresso quality as I wasn’t in the mood to enjoy it after the passive aggressive behaviour.

Not happy with the lady who served me, I was just asking nicely and politely about the price because there’s one item that didn’t have the price like the others and it was my first time here and not a regular and I guess I offended her but I was still being nice to her because I also work in food service dealing with customers. I even said sorry if I somehow offended her for asking for the price. So the rest of my experience being served there I was treated unpleasantly. The coffee I ordered was not bad, I can get the same quality coffee in other coffee shops. Not gonna visit here again so that’d be a relief for them too I guess, but I still wonder what did I do wrong there so that I deserve that kind of treatment, it was my first visit so I thought it’d be no harm to ask questions?

Such a lovely little cafe! Great coffee by De Mello and delicious pastries that vegan banana muffin! The owner is the sweetest woman and I always look forward to popping in each week.

Cute space but not a lot of seating space as it is more shop than café. Coffee was solid and staff were nice, but nothing incredible.

Love the environment decorated with lots of plants and greens.... refreshing! We feel so peaceful while we were spending our Saturday morning there! Coffee is good but only one thing.. if they can provide “heat up” service to warm our pastry and that would be perfect!

I have gone to R and G coffee shop since it opened 5 years ago and the service is excellent and lattes taste wonderful They also sell interesting items you might like. I recommend this shop.
