Average. I was hoping for greater things from this local independent eatery, given it has such a high average review score. For $12.50, the chicken poutine was a full Chinese takeout container of seasoned and coated taters, well covered in cheese and gravy. So the portion size was good. It probably had about one small breast of fried chicken cut up into chunks, but it was seasoned nicely, was tender, and tasted fresh. As for value, I didn't find the potatoes tasted fresh, and could taste that frozen potato taste coming through, so the value is also mid-level. Don't go expecting much in terms of ambiance. This is a strictly grab-and-go experience with a dated interior located in a run down strip plaza. Sign says it's called BURGER CHICKEN not QUEEN STREET BURGER AND TATERS as found on maps. On the positive side, the people there are friendly and couteous, and there is easy ample parking. TIP: Go for the chicken. It seems like that's their specialty and this used to be a Mary Brown's location way back. Chicken specials are advertised as shown.
Their spicy chicken sandwich is a must try. Super juicy and fresh, I’d argue that its better than the Popeyes one since it’s not greasy. The bun they use is perfectly toasted. The poutine is good; the gravy is not too salty. The person serving who I assume is the owner is really sweet as well. Didn’t wait long for the food. This place is definitely a hidden gem. I plan to revisit.
Based on the reviews, this place was on the "to go to" list for a while. We had delux burgers. They were good, nice amount of bacon, fresh toppings and my daughter loved the bun. I had the taters very good and she dug the waffle fries. It may classify as a "hole in the wall" but it is totally worth the visit. Next time, based on what I read on here, chicken!!!
I ordered delivery and usually when I order typical fast food places it arrives cold and gross but this food arrived nice, fresh, and hot. The tater poutine is so good and they give you a really good serving and the burger is pretty good too. I'll definitely order again.
Love the shrimp burger and the service. This is a hidden treasure in Streetsville, owned by a hardworking family. Thanks for the great eats and lovely service Additional review Had the fishburger and it was pretty good. Consistent amazing service.
Tried this place for the first time since it's brand new to Mississauga. The food was really good. Burgers melted in your mouth. The 'taters' are potato wedges and they had a nice seasoning to them. Prices were of your typical burger places. The owner was really nice, made sure everything was okay and asked us if we needed anything else. He even gave us an extra gravy for my poutine burger just in case. The seating however is very limited, so taking it to go is a better option. There's also no washrooms available. A little outdated looking, but overall not bad.
First time here since it opened, and am glad I dropped in. The burger is made on the premises, thick and juicy. Cooked perfectly to my liking. The toppings were fresh and delicious. Very friendly owners and explained all the burger choices they have to offer including a shrimp burger, and a fish burger. Real excited to try them out. The place may be small, but it's product packs a punch.
Fish burger was so tasty and flaky. And the poutine is full of cheese and gravy - the best I've had in Brampton!
Wonderful couple run this place. Food is always fresh and tasty. Don't forget your cash, they give you 10% off orders above $30 if you pay cash! I only have friend chicken once every few months but when I do, I always go to this place so that should say something :
Amazing! Real Food! It used to be a Mary Brown's, But now they have Hamburgers - and Really good ones! They kinda taste hand pressed = Yum! The taters are still so good that I drool over them so I haven't tried their fries. Sorry about the pic - once it was infront of me I couldn't stop myself.
