The state park campground was excellent. Very clean and well maintained sites. There are no electric sites, but that wasn't a problem. I just brought a small battery pack to charge phones and stuff. The sites were spacious and deep. The gorge itself was lovely to see. We hiked a couple trails and enjoyed the views. Not a place I'd stay for a week, unless you just want to enjoy the peaceful vibe of the campground. Otherwise, 3 days was plenty to look around and see the local sites.
Located right next to Quechee Gourge, a well kept park with a few trails. One trail leads to the VINS Nature Center, another to a man made waterfall and a trail that runs perpendicular to the Quechee Gourge itself. Bring good hiking shoes, bug repellent and water for that one! Picnic tables, not many, plenty of parking , map of trails and a communication for those who are contemplating suicide, yes really! Carry in, carry out. I cannot remember if you can bring your pet , but, I would keep an eye on Fido because there is a busy road that divides the park. A father and daughter set up a lemonade stand in the parking area. That's cool ! I visited to see the gourge and waterfall. I want to return to walk the trail to VINS.
The Gorge is beautiful. There is a great trail down to and along the river and a lake. Great campground, nice, big, wooded spots.
This place is incredible -- we just happened to drive by and stopped. I would love to come back when it is warm enough to wade; the water looks lovely at the bottom of the gorge. And we saw an eagle!
Awesome place to visit in the summer. The hike along the Gorge is relatively easy with some pretty views. The sound of the water rushing below is great and there are plenty of benches to sit and relax.
Gorgeous view of the gorge from the bridge. I would hardly call the main trail up and down a hike, very easy, but definitely worth doing. If you cross the bridge away from the visitor center, there is another trail that is short but is a little more difficult. It isn't marked so I assume no liability over whether you should be on it or it's safety. The best view is definitely up top and by the dam though.
I reviewed this a few years ago and nothing has changed. Clean bathrooms, clean showers....all newer. We loved it last time and we loved it again. Large wooded campsites. Great field for flashlight tag at night. Dirt/ gravel road inside the campground. Short hike to the gorge from the campground...easy hike with a very short section that is steep but totally doable with kids. There is no playground, only the large field. Bring balls, nets, and anything else you do in a field!
Beautiful views worth a short stop. Quechee Gorge State Park is easily accessible off of Hwy 4. The hiking paths around the gorge are mostly easy hiking with wide paths. However, the best views of the gorge are from the bridge. That being the case, you really do not needs to walk the trails unless you want that experience.
Great park with a great view. The walk down to the gorge was a little steep and may be hard for some to hike back up. It was worth it for the views!
The campground was extremely beautiful. The whole entire area is beautiful!
