Pretty small place, worth stopping even if you only have 15 minutes. Fun to see the cute buildings that match the old photos in the back. Next door, you have a nice gallery regrouping the art made by many artists and a cute boutique also selling cute treasures made by local people. It’s worth the stop and worth peaking in !!
Nice museum to learn about the beginnings of la Gaspesie and how the first French immigrants settled to make this great place.nAll the information comes in French and English and they have also exhibitions with paintings, tools from the era, toys, etc.nIt transports you to their times and see what all this people passed through and still they’re standing.
Amazing experience! Fascinating history. Deeply sad. The layout and content is bilingual and presented so well. Take the time to read everything and explain to kids. Everyone needs to know our painful history.
Beautifully done. I loved watching them feed the animals. I rarely get to see more than a fleeting glance of animals in the wild. It was great to be able to watch them, though I know it is selfish of me
If your visiting the Gaspesie then I recommend visiting the Museum to learn the sad and devastating story of the Acadian people becoming homeless thanks to the British.
