Story

Purple Tree Books & Coffee is a dream turned reality. I have been so warmly welcomed into the Cheboygan community that I can happily say I have found a wonderful place to work and live! I am so pleased to be able to play a role in the area, bring to the community a safe and enjoyable place to read and discover, as well as, a community-centered and a charity-focused resource.

As a new and used bookstore, Purple Tree Books offers a great collection of new front and backlist titles, a wide selection of previously loved books, as well as, a variety of other great product lines including, but not limited to, journals; greeting cards; bookmarks; book lights; magazines; and all things literary!

Purple Tree Coffee has been a great addition to the bookstore! Brewed and specialty coffees, iced blended coffees, hot chocolate, smoothies, and teas and more are served to order along with delicious scones, muffins, cookies and bagels!

Purple Tree Books & Coffee also offers fantastic services including special ordering, free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating areas, great discounts, author signings, artist showings, book clubs, children’s story readings, and more!

And don’t forget to think Purple with Purple Tree Books. Purple is the awareness color for an incurable, genetic disease called Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Emily’s niece Evangeline was diagnosed with this disease when she was 6 days old. In addition to being named in an effort to create awareness for the disease, all donations for the self-serve coffee goes directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, who is “adding tomorrows every day” for CF patients!
