I want to start by giving a huge thank you to Le Chalet! We were skiing with a couple other families and decided fairly last minute it might be fun to all go out for a last evening dinner. However, with a party size of 17 on St. Paddy's Day no less, finding a place to host us proved quite difficult. Le Chalet reached out to us after we left a voicemail and let us know they would be absolutely happy to have us. We figured at that point anything would do and we could live with mediocre food. Which leads me to the second amazing surprise of the night. In addition to being incredibly accomodating and friendly the food is outstanding! Fresh hand made burgers. Great tasting and cleaver hot dogs. Tasty fish and chips. Tender steaks. Awesome chip truck fries. Delicious chili and nachos. Plus even freshly made personal pizzas! Frankly, if you are in the Magog area do yourself a favour and grab a meal here. Oh... and the drinks selection is pretty great too!
Terrible place, bad mannered owner that did not respect allergy restrictions, and the worst fries I have ever seen, looks like they were dipped in cold oil and handed over to us, really awful!
Great view of the bay, terrific friendly staff, and very good food for a reasonable price. Highly recommend the fish and chips. You will not leave hungry!
Great place with a beautiful view! Good service.
I organized a supper with my colleagues, we were 20 people. Reservation was at 6pm and we asked the guy at the door, Eric, to push our reservation. We left him the choice, because we knew that we were a group and that it might creates inconveniences but Eric told us it was ok and he agreed to push at 7:30pm. When we arrived right on time, eric took me aside and told me that he was not happy because he refused customers, because of us. I was surprised because he agreed to it. Then he told me that my colleagues better be patient because we will wait long for the food. We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for the appetizers. I went to speak to Eric because we were kind of hungry and he was super defensive, repeated that because of us he lost tables. He was condescendant, very not pleasant. We decided to eat the appetizers and leave. Suddenly, Eric was not around when we left. Very disappointed. We were not welcomed, service was long and attitude of Eric and the waitress was not right on a Customer service stand point. Food was good. But 20 people will never come back to Pub Le Chalet, never again.
Honestly not sure what people are expecting here. This is a typical pub with a decent selection of beers and a basic menu. I came here with my wife and two kids. The waitress was attentive and the food and drinks came quickly. The food itself is decent and is priced at a typical pub rate, the appetizers are actually cheaper than average. The biggest plus however is the large open area where my young kids can run around with one of us while waiting for food, or allowing one parent to eat in peace. One thing I would recommend to the owners though is to get rid of the pretzel bread on the kids burgers and use regular buns.
Cute pub with a great outdoor patio and great views. The servers were really nice but unfortunately a bit slow about 60 mins to get our main courses and the food was so-so.
Best view in eastern townships . Cheap microbrewery beer. Wonderful staff.
We had a reservation for our group at 18h and ask politely if we could push it to 19h and we were told it would be possible at 19h30. We agree to it. When we came in at 19h15, we were told be the waiter and the owner that they were frustrated about us pushing the reservation and that we will wait a long time to be serve... at the end they refuse to serve us food... worst experience i ever had. I really don't recommend.
Today, July 4th 2020, I went there - Pub Le Chalet- with 6 of my friends. I am a brown man, and the lady, probably she was the manager, refused to give me water even when I bought overpriced veggie burger and even paid 15% tip. The server was nice though. She tried to give us the water but the manager refused her to do so. Talk about discrimination, see the live example at this pub if you are a person of a color! I guess it was my last time going there.
