The WORST Treatment ever. Group consisted of "what ya got" meaning sharing assignments. No introduction, no asking for process time, zero group interaction except for one song and the other was because the counselor was on hold with a phone call so her intern stepped in. You had to PAY to use the phone. Allowed every other day. The med unit is a joke. A few girls got Covid and the rest of us were denied tests. People were going without meds
Place as really gone down hill. They can't keep employees or staff mental health professionals due to their inability to change with the times and flat-out too arrogant to listen to suggestions which promote positive change. Staff is asked to do more then what is legal required and underpaid. If you're a patient and under the impression you're going to their facility to get help with mental health they are lying to you. There is not enough current mental health professionals on their staff to recieve the mental health services they advertise or you deserve as a patient. They'll makeup some bologne that as a patients you are getting mental health services because you attend a class for an hour and that is "mental health service" Which is bare minimum service and they all know it. In fact, they'll more than likely yank any mental health medications you're currently on and possibly / more than likely make your mental health worse. Than tell you they are 12 step / abstained based and you need to stop taking or never take the medications your provider placed you on. Ultimately putting someone with severe mental health concerns at extreme risk of relapse, suicide, etc. These ideals are typically told by someone who's an undertrained uninformed AA'er with no mental health training or credetials pushing their personal narcissistic agenda onto other's. The ones who really need the mental health therapy are "some" of their employees / state licensed employees. Current concerns range from employees / state licensed employees on drugs, handing out drugs to patients, exchanging personal numbers with patients, correspondence through text message with patients, providing rides to patients off the clock in their personal vehicles, loaning out personal credit cards to patients, giving cash to patents, asking patients to come to their personal residence, employees / state licensed employees having sexual relationships with patients, numerous hipaa violations ie: releasing information about clients to the public with no written consent compromizing the clients safety and confidentiality All of these issues are concealed and swept under the rug to preserve their "sweaky clean" image because that is most important to Project Turnabout. Client care and treatment of their employees comes last. Or is it ethics and morals come last? Too blurry to tell.
Awesome place. 4M later I finally checked myself in and got fixed well one day at a time. Thanks to all staff especially Mark and Linda!
When I first checked myself in to PTAB I was thinking to myself go dry out for awhile and eventually you can go back to social drinking. From day one things started to change with me I really started to take a long hard look at what had made my life so unbearable and what needed to change and every answer was my drinking. Anyhow I stuck to everything I learned and was told and today December 10 I’m 7 months sober! Thank you to all the staff at PTAB for everything you did for me and especially Mandi, Sara, and Lisa without you guys putting up with me I would not have found what it truly means to be happy again
Where to start? Well first off treatment is not easy for anyone, it's a difficult process to say the least! Emotions run high and some of the policies are dumb as hell, but every place has policies that seem kind of ridiculous. When you really get down to it and dig into Project Turnabout-"PTAB" Wow, a lot of the counselors are really great. Actually I had the best counselor in my life there. Like 90% of the Techs are employees are recovering addicts who are really cool and supportive to be around. The atmosphere is awesome, the hiking trails and the peacefulness in nature is amazing. Literally sometimes the deer stand like 10 feet away from you. The food is pretty awesome! Are there bad moments yes, but that's going to happen anywhere, the good far outweighs the bad. I would highly recommend this place. Shout out to Mary, Lisa, Mandi, CJ, AJ, Kirsten, Bunny and of course Joe! Truly thank you to all the staff.
The absolute worst experience I've ever had. Pay the money and go to Hazelden. The inmates run the asylum in this 2 bit outfit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
This place is a life saver! I would definitely recommend Ptab to anybody struggling with addiction. They helped me learn how to be honest with myself and gave me tools for a better life. They also helped guide me onto the next step after treatment which for me was outpatient with sober living. The staff truly care about their patients. If you're ready to get serious about making your life better they will be there every step of the way!
Project turnabout saved my life. This was and always will be my life’s foundation of recovery from a gambling problem. Without the treatment of compulsive gambling and the help of staff and counselors I would not be alive today to share my story. This year 2022 I will be celebrating 10 years gamble free. I still work my recovery program. Without it I would die. It’s my medicine that keeps me alive and if not for ptab to show me the way. I stay involved with ptab and the current residents. Words are never enough to describe how I feel about the staff, counselors and the program at ptab. I have so much gratitude and love this place. Thank you for giving me life. My family and friends are also grateful.
I had never finished impatient treatment this last time was my 4th time and i was scared at first but gave it a try. My councilor was awesome she had patience with my bad days and never let me give up my peers and roommates always knw when something was up and talked me out several times from running out. Plus in time learned how to eat healthier and enjoyed walks and jogs with them also playing volleyball we had an awesome unit of guys i just want to say Thank you it was an experience that helped me find myself and love myself. But gave e the tool's to keep moving forward in life just keep working the steps and yourself.
While in inpatient more than myself were deprived of doctor prescribed meds. One person was Tashkent to the hospital. I personally broke a finger and they just said no, it's not broke. They also deprived me off my epilepsy medication for 4 days.
