My skates were done fairly quickly which I was happy about. Did not see too many employees. I was looking at getting a new stick and they didn't have a ton of options besides $300 plus sticks. The prices are ridiculous, they need to have a bigger selection for $150-$250 range. Ended up going to sportchek to buy a new stick because they had more selections for every level. Pro hockey life was very clean, organized and spaced out very nice, but didn't seem to have a ton of stock on certain things.
I just wanted to say, Aaron who is working in the skate department is an awesome employee. I was in yesterday to get my skates sharpened, and I have been interested in getting the CCM FT4 Pro's. Aaron helped get me what I was looking for really quick, while he also continued to help out numerous other customers needs at the same time. He came by often to check how they were, and what my thoughts were on the fit. He brought me a few different fits to try so we could make sure we were landing on the best absolute fit. Everyone was being serviced in an efficient manner. Just for his awesome service I will be making sure to come back to this location to purchase my FT4 Pro's in the next few weeks. I was hoping to run into a manager on my way out to let them know about this, but I figured that a review would be just as helpful. Keep up the great work! Hockey is very important to the Edmonton community, and I am very appreciative to see people who are passionate about the sport, employed in your stores. It makes the trip to PHL always an enjoyable experience.
Most frustrating purchase ever, buying a visor and was given t the wrong hardware, not once but 2 times, BUT coming back a 4th and final time. Finally found super helpful employees
Wasn't greeted at any point, staff would look at me, then turn and walk away. Was trying to get some skates, but apparently I'm not worth the customer service. I worked here years ago, and to see how little they care any more is embarrassing
Only one size of skate to fit? salesperson wouldn't offer another to even try on, sent us to try a competitor store maybe they have something different he says, what a joke.
Amazing experience! Jacob and another employee I forgot his name helped me out from start to finish. Great guys!
Great service in the goalie department from Bryce a couple of weeks ago. He spent over an hour going through gear selection and options for me. I didn't intend on purchasing that day and he knew that but still helped beyond what was expected. Went back to buy a stick, tape and laces and he was there again to help out. Thanks again.
Absolutely terrible experience!! Terrible customer service. Ordered goalie gloves online that were shown in stock, payment was taken, and order confirmation emails were received. A day later, I got an email informing me that an order had been cancelled, as now the item was no longer in stock. Called customer support and was told "that's unfortunate" Emailed customer support 4 days ago and got no response at all, still have not heard back. How exactly would one be expected to play hockey with a single glove? In my experience, when I sell an item, and receive payment for something that I tell a customer is in stock, I am responsible for filling that order, regardless of whether or not I have to buy it from a different store in some cases. What exactly is Pro Hockey life going to do to correct this? A refund doesn't help me catch pucks. Can you please tell me what the benefit of doing business here is?
Went into Hockey Life South Common to buy a new pair of skates. Stood there for 10 minutes and no one helped me. One staff member was helping 4-5 other customers while 3 other staff members socialized and ignored several customers waiting to be helped. This was the same experience yesterday when I went in a purchased new sticks and goalie pads for my kids. No one helped us yesterday either. Fool me once....
I spent over 2 hours in there this morning and let me tell you it sure didn't feel like it. As a single mom who hasn't gotten much experience in hockey the staff were above and beyond!!! Andy and Jeff made the experience easy and effortless!! They went above and beyond for us and with a smile on their face. You are crazy not to shop here. Go hit those guys up and give their staff some love!!!
