We visited the Heritage Center the other day and had a wonderful time learning about the history of the First Nation people, the animals as well as the people who came to mine and trap in the area. The displays were very well done with just the right amount of information. It was amazing that such a wonderful center was free.
Really enjoyed this museum. The animal exhibits and art were really impressive. Some of the videos were a little dated, but I loved how much was from local Indigenous expertsnnThere was some beautiful art and history mixed.nnI especially liked the Moose Boat.
A very quiet museum with not many people around, but it’s clean and tidy. There’s no entrance fee, but there’s a donation box at the entrance. I saw a lot of NWT’s history and unique species here. The visit doesn’t take too long, but there are quite a few interesting little things to see.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but the exhibits / building are very well done! Great history preservation, giving you a look back in time. Animal mounts and settings were very good. Well done and worth a visit!
Absolutely PHENOMENAL museum! I've visited hundreds throughout my travels, and this one is certainly one of, if not THE most well put together museum I've ever stepped foot in. Everything was spotless, the exhibits were meticulous and informative, and the staff were knowledgeable about everything.
