I been with this church since I was a little girl and I also alter served for many years. I came here to have a blessing for my birthday as I have since I was 3 years old. Unfortunately today I had to deal with a racist secretary. I understand the priest has changed and they may have different rules. I am beyond disappointed in the way I was treated today especially by parish staff. When someone comes at 11:52 am asking for a birthday blessing. I don’t need a lecture of making an appointment and making me feel bad for walking in! At the end of the day it’s a place of worship and being kind to your fellow parishioners is important. No need to belittle them and say,”are you aware we have a new priest”. As Catholics we are taught to be welcoming, loving and treat everyone with respect and kindness. Today these virtues were definitely not exemplified. This does not set a good precedence for this church. I am extremely disappointed and I hope they understand they shouldn’t treat people in this manner. More loss to the Catholic Church. Please do better or have empathetic staff.
Went for a wedding service, large space be clearly more interested in billing for services than providing services. Our event is delayed by half an hour due to funeral service happening beforehand. No one came out to assist our party or provide information. Once we got in they still had to decorate the church for wedding as guests sat and waited. Once service started it was clear that it was being rushed. At end we were told that we were "welcome to stay to take pictures" but were told to only spend 10 minutes because they had another wedding hanging in half an hour.
Unorganized staff or volunteers. We asked to schedule a baptism class, first they fixed the baptism date and said will call and confirm the class. We called and messaged the person many times but no reply until 3 days before the baptism and hes like you are coming for the class tomorrow? We were like we have work and noone to watch our baby. I mean do they not think that we have work and have to arrange daycare. We cudnt make it so we had to cancel the date and reschedule it. He fixed a date for family day, we arranged a sitter and made it for the class and then we are told its been rescheduled and the priest there said he said he called everyone and rescheduled it for another day. How come everyone else didnt come and only we were there. Obviously he forgot! We showed proof of his texts and calls. If he notified us we wouldnt be there right? Then the priest writes down our info so he can contact us. We asked again to confirm the next class. Then We get a text the next morning saying class is at 7pm that day. Seriously so ignorant and unorganized. We had to find a babysitter on short notice. When i asked the person at the class why he didnt call us he said i messeged and called and left a voicemail. I kept talking and he ignored me. How rude they have no respect! I will not recommend this church to have your events. We are not happy with the service!
A small church for such a large community. Can get here by taking any ttc 129 buses, getting off at Alton Towers Circle and walking to the location. You will feel like a number here since the congregation is huge, confessions are on Saturdays and there is a lineup to get one. Helpful ushers, lots of families with children and wheelchair accessible.
Great and love this church with all my HEART.
8:30 a.m. Sunday Mass has good music, ample parking including library next door, good seating. Well-designed church.
Very friendly people here but not enough parking. I guess it shows that everyone else likes the church too. The choir is always great.
Unable to concentrate or reflect there. Loud singing, noisy, crowded always. Not really spiritually conducive.
Good Church but needs more parking like for Christmas New Year etc.
Your prayers will be answered. Basically am Hindu. I went to this church and prayed something and got the favourable answer. Thank you Jesus.
