I was here 3 times in 5 weeks. I think that speaks how much I love this place. It is such a comfy environment with good food every time and good service. I have come here for both dinner and brunch, bringing different friends each time and each one of them love it just as much as I do. Extra appreciation to the restaurant for keeping the music low so that you can enjoy your conversation with your friends without yelling. It's hard to find in new restaurants nowadays. Keep up the good work, Primary Colors.
Seriously I think I found Calgary best kept secret for the best date night or girls night out! My girlfriends and I checked out primary colours last weekend and have to say the food was absolutely phenomenal! I have been for coffee and brunch previously which is sooo good, but I had NO IDEA that they did dinner service too! Honestly the food literally look like art, but it was also incredibly delicious and flavourful too! I highly recommend getting the Koji chicken. I swear it was the crispiest the most juiciest chicken I’ve ever eaten in the city! The albacore tuna was perfectly cooked and finally we had a vegetable forward sunflower risotto, which literally looked a painting! We ended off the evening with this London fog cheesecake dessert, which, honestly I don’t think I’ve ever tasted anything that compares, I’m literally obsessed and plotting when I am going back to have it again! Definitely do yourself a favour and book a night out at primary colours, it’s literally a hidden gem and foodie dream! I know I am already planning my next date night with my husband to try everything else on the menu as it definitely was an 11/10 dinning experience. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable forward dishes! Recommend trying the sunflower risotto Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options- we had the GF London fog cheesecake and it was incredible!
Friendly service and excellent cuisine! Every thing is made from scratch. The best sourdough bread I've ever had! We had the French toast, made with their own, thick cut, sourdough bread; the cream of mushrooms was awesome, made from a variety of mushrooms.Food: 5/5
Food presentation was so beautiful, and taste is good too. It was a bit too salty for our tastes, but the overall flavour was good. We really enjoyed the soup. The mains were a bit too rich in flavour for me personallyFood: 4/5
I was there twice. Once with a group of 8, and everyone loved the food, from the French toast to the steak. Their food is scrumptious, unique and fresh. Today, I was invited by a friend to their breakfast. I felt lucky to have such fresh & delicious homemade food; from their ketchup, sausages to breads & etc are all made in their kitchen, very special & flavorsome.
First time, but for sure it’s not my last time to be here, definitely will come back. They offer some classic brunch meals, simple but delicious from the first bites. Atmosphere is nice, clean interior, bright color and great spot not only for foods but also pictures. Servers are also one of extra points, friendly not only with adults but also kids. Ps: check out my IG @vincie.foodie for more recommendations around the town!!!
Walked by and decided to give it a try for brunch. So many places are just barely okay nowadays. This place was actually really good. We are definitely coming back. Very tasty brunch options. My partner had the big breakfast plate- not overly greasy; tasty sausage. I had a more modest appetite so had the smoked char on bread. Perfect. The brunch menu had a variety of options depending on how hungry you are. Dropping in for a snack and coffee or tea is very do-able. Nice baked goods too. We’ll try dinner here as well. Glad this place is here!
Enjoyed brunch here with a few of my friends and loved their unique menu. Of course the coffees and tea were amazing and the interiors were decorated immaculately. Service staff was friendly and helpful and we loved the variety of flavours reflected in the menu! Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options
I had a meal with my wife here and the experience was fantastic. The space was bright and airy and the food was very good. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making us feel like VIPs. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. In fact I went back to have cocktails and appetizers with friends and it was such a creative menu. Would highly recommend.
A breakfast menu with depth to its uniqueness. The potatoes and Benedict - the best breakfast style meal I’ve had North America to date. Staff were very accommodating despite the busyness but food didn’t come out together. Would recommend and would return for food and coffee.Food: 5/5
