Firstly my mom paid 120 dollars for a terrible hair cut that was all choppy and her colour did not cover her grey. She’s 100 % grey. I expressed my concerns to stylist and she said my mom was to stop in. So she did, ( admitted to me yes the color did not completely cover the entire hair) offered to redo. Told my mom she call her back when it was warmer for her to come in. Never called. I called a month later as I talked to my mom and said have you got your hair done? She’s like no lady did not call. I called her again. Lady who did moms hair and I talked to previous time answered. Oh miscommunication she said. I thought to myself no lady you forgot. Admit that. I’m a stylist for 23 years but live in Edmonton. The lady asked me what I used. I said get that color line it covers grey 100 %, then she asks me what level? I’m like well what level did you use? Oh I don’t know. Well your the one who did it. Like do you know color lady? I know how things should be done and how customers should be treated. This was not the way. Having said that I’ve never done my mother’s hair as we have only reconnected this last year. Good thing she has me advocating on her behalf, the lady is giving her some money back and mom said she’s not going back. Mom asked me what I’d do. Well I’d apologize redo both cut and color AND give her a full refund! You cut your losses you screwed up didn’t do it proper this is how you make it right! So sad for my mom. Now her cuts more grown out and the roots now not to mention the whole hair not being covered! Going to have to road trip do she can have a proper cut and color. Never again this place! 1/2 a star. Lastly this is not slander. How dare anyone say this is. It’s a google review and I have every right to type my concerns, good or bad. If I was going to slander anyone I’d say the stylist name/owner and mention which color they used and it didn’t work. What line I enjoy. I didn’t mention anything about that. Really places need to make things right for the customer. Listen and admit when they were wrong or made a mistake. Cause that’s what we do. Paid my mom back and asked her not to slander them...... sign here please. Maybe admit your wrong and do the right thing. You need to communicate with customers better and do follow up calls for new customers. Im my experience that’s what we have done at salons I’ve worked at and managed.
