Story

THE STORE

Prairie Sky Books was established in the Wolseley area of Winnipeg back in 1978, specializing in dharma, astrology, yoga, tai chi, tarot and other interests that, at the time, were described as New Age.


THE GIFTS

In addition to our carefully curated assortment of books, we also have some of the most unique giftware in the city! From beautiful home decor pieces, imports from far-away lands, gemstones, sterling silver jewelry to our 100 varieties of incense, you're sure to find something you love! We're also the only Winnipeg supplier of Canada's best coffee, Oso Negro, from Nelson, BC!

THE BOOKS

This small, locally-owned and operated bookstore has served the community for 37 years. Today our focus of interest includes Buddhism; Yoga and Vedanta; books on First Nations' language, culture & spirituality; Islam; Sufism; Judaism; Christianity; Wicca;Paganism; Health; Vegetarian and Vegan cooking; Astrology; Tarot; Occult; Birthing and Parenting; general fiction and other Conscious Lifestyle material. We also have a good selection of resources for teachers and counsellors.
