0 stars for the “shuttle transfer” that didn’t show up, 5 unanswered calls later and we jumped in a cab and just made it in time for our tour. 3 stars for dog sledding. It was a novel experience, but also very disorganised and somewhat stressful. 5 stars for ice fishing. We caught a whole bucket of fish and paid about $70 for that, plus the fee to rent the rods. Shame there are no bbq facilities there, as tourists staying in a hotel, we had to give away our fish as catch and release isn’t permitted. We got there early and it was empty, later in the day when we left the ice fishing was quite busy.
I was hoping this would be a great experience since most dog sledding websites in the Quebec area don’t work well and this one actually functioned. However, our actual experience was quite the opposite due to three primary reasons and I’ve been dogsledding elsewhere for comparison: 1 the tour started about 30 minutes late which was because the prior tour ran late 2 they didn’t have enough sleds for everyone so one person in our party was unable to dog sled we eventually got refunded and that was a difficult process as well 3 one of the sleds broke during the ride and the dogs ran away eventually recovered in the forest by the guides and another person got sick. During this time, our three guides all left to manage the situation, leaving the rest of the party alone in the forest with dogs who were starting to fight with each other. I realize this is may be an extenuating circumstance but it left many people in the group uncomfortable. Overall, this was a lackluster experience and significantly worse than other times I’ve been dog sledding.
Amazing experience !! The staff was awesome and helpful. It was my first time doing dog sledging and was totally worth it. Highly recommended.
We had the best time here! Dog sledding was fantastic. We got to ride on our own sleigh and we felt quite welcomed! We will definitely be back.
Such a fun family activity! The dogs were adorable ! All our 4 kids loved it . Remi drove me and my little ones safely! the weather was just cold enough to survive it ! Thank you ! We will be back
1. Dogs are not huskies. 2. Look at the seat. I had to sit there with butt freezing and clothes wet for 1 hour dog sledding because they didn’t have a clean one. 3. ‘puppy village’ has 2 puppies and don’t bother buying the package because it’s free to public and everyone comes in and out 4. Ice fishing - you get 1 chance to fish and then that’s it. The environment was nice and receptionist was friendly, but there were many areas of improvement for the price we paid.
We had a really great trip. Everything was well organized and you can even rent Snowboots and Snowpants. Which is perfect if you are not used to the Canadian weather. Lovely dogs and a beautiful trail. It was awesome to conduct the sledge. Would always recommend to take a tour here. A unique experience!
The place was a little run down, and the huskies howled all night but otherwise it was a lovely stay
Outstanding dog sled adventure. Everyone was very friendly. This was my son's second sledding experience and he enjoyed this much more. There was more of a challenge with up and down hills. We we're matched with the dog packs that we can handle. The mushers we're very knowledgeable and friendly. Thunder , Spike, Black and Ben we're an awesome pack, they just wanted to go! As a dog lover and long time owner I could see that the dogs were healthy and full of energy. My daughter profiled the pack future vet and thought the pack was well balanced. Be prepared to help your pack up hill and slow them down when you have to. A great adventure, highly recommended!
The snowmobiling here is great! We were first timers and were well prepared for our motoneige experience. The equipment provided was adequate and the trails out to the main route were well kept. The process was smooth and pain free. We will definitely be back.
