Potato Corner

Potato Corner brings back some great memories for me. I loved them in the Philippines and I still love them to this day. So happy they have 2 locations here and this one is nice and spacious. Friendly and helpful staff, great selection of fries and flavours, cool drinks. If you love salty snacks, make sure you grab some Potato Corner! Waffle, curly fries and tater tots are awesome!!

I love love love the curly cheese fries! My favourite flavours are the sour cream and onion, original cheese and the sweet corn! A bit difficult to park in that area and it’s very busy but the food itself just takes you back home to the Philippines.Recommended dishesLoopys, Potato Waffles

First experience of this “seasoned fries” was okay. Nothing crazy or different from just doing this yourself at home. Grabbed the “Tere” size which is their extra large fries option that you’re allowed two different flavours. We ended going with the Chili Barbeque because they didn’t have the plain barbeque seasoning. This was probably my favourite over the truffle seasoning that we had. The truffle flavour is there but also it’s very salty in my honest opinion.

Looks like this place doesn't stock up properly from other reviews. During my visit, they didn't have BBQ also. Tried this place out when I heard there was a location in Vancouver. I can't say it was worth the trip since it's kind of out of the way from downtown. Fries were hard, like overcooked. Their smallest size is also jumbo lol

Came in here today to try them out. I was the only one there. They didn’t have BBQ but the staff told me to get Corn. So I ended up getting Corn, Sour Cream and Cheese. They made the fresh. They didn’t have fries pre made. So the fries were fresh and hot. I watched her make the friend and it is quite the process. I can see why people complain about the time. But it’s made to order and it’s a process to season the fries. My kids and family loved the fries. The kids loved the corn and I wish we ordered bigger size. Next time I would order larger size cause it didn’t not last long and it’s not much of a price increase for a bigger size. Really friendly staff and can tell she took pride in her work. I hope they continue to provide excellent fries without compromising the quality for speeding up the process.

Really yummy fries! We got the spicy seasoning and it was delicious reminds me of asian snack seasoning. The loopy fries were really fun as well, definitely want to try the other shapes and flavours!

The fries were very flavourful and I love the unique flavours they have ie sweet corn, truffle, wasabi that other stores don’t have. They also offer different shapes of fries like the waffle shape. The staff followed strict covid protocols like taking my temperature upon entering and asking me to use hand sanitizer. I was the only one in the store that ordered and the fries took quite a while to be ready.

I went during a non-peak time so there was no line-up. I agree with the other reviews that it takes quite a while to get your order. My order: Sour Cream & Onion Loopy Fries size: Mega I really liked how it wasn’t greasy at all. It’s like a hybrid between fries and chips. The seasoning was great, not overly salty had a hint of sweetness to balance the flavour, and evenly coated as well. Very crispy, and stays crispy - no sogginess even at the bottom. Process: They take your order, and then you wait for your fries to come out of this air fryer-like? machine - which takes a while, then they dump the fries into a tray, scoop them back up to throw them in a bucket to shake with seasoning by hand, then throw them BACK on ANOTHER tray after seasoning, then scoop them up into your bucket/bag. Seems tedious, but I assume they have their reasons as they’re a huge chain and very popular in Asia.

I suggest waiting a few weeks so the hype dies down to try this. I was told the wait was 20 min there were about 10 people in front of me and most of us ended up waiting for 40ish minutes. But the BBQ fries were yummy—nice to have a familiar taste of home, hence the 2 star rating.
