Younger woman running the counter was nice and helpful. She walked me through which type of shipment would get the package to it's destination by Monday it was Friday when I visited with tracking. I think the bad reviews are more for the postal delivery drivers than the actual walk-in location. Also grabbed some stamps because I'm loving the new designs.
I didn't get mail for two days and I am not sure I will get it today. They say it is a staffing shortage but maybe if they paid more like they did when the government ran you wouldn't have this problem. Back when the government ran you had to take a test and if you passed the test you were still lucky if you got a call to come work for them. Something has to change.
I've had a few issues with this location over the years, mainly when packages are FedEx'd to me. They end up on the FedEx dock, to be sent out. This is due to not paying attention. Especially when it happens consistently, one occasion losing $500 worth of gifts for my daughter's birthday. Also always have problems with making my payment online, although this is more the sites issue not the locations. Despite these things, there is one employee, can never remember her name but she always remembers mine. I don't even have to tell her my box number and she's off to the back getting my things. These little things and her make all the difference
Workers at this postal are really helpful and patient with their customers. I really appreciate their services because they make sure that my packages are secured and safe.
I was sending a package out and had nothing but a splendid experience with the clerks who were so helpful and friendly. My only somewhat of a complaint was listening to the absolute Karen of a woman continuously rant about something that would have been easily resolved but she continued refusing to hear that she couldn’t get her way. The employees present handled her with grace which absolute kudos to them as she was truly a lot to handle on a Monday morning. Other than listening to her rant next to me, I had a great experience and the employees were very kind and helpful throughout. I will be back, thank you for your service!
I wish I could give this USPS office a positive review, but after 25+ years of experience with them I cannot. I have to say that the regular carriers I have had over time Brad being my carrier now for 15+ years are good, and some like Brad are very good, conscientious and careful. It seems to be a problem of staffing at the management level and the "substitute" part time carriers where the main problems occur. I have called downtown and spoken to people who were high level and who even went out to have a "talk" with the people working at this branch. Some people were let go and others quit. They have a huge turnover there. My carrier says it is because the subs think they should get paid more. If they don't like what they are offered, I wonder why they take the job in the first place! From what I can tell, most are overpaid for the kind of service they give. Some are very nice and polite and others will barely speak or acknowledge a "Hello." I do not know the solution, but I do know that this branch has had many more complaints and problems than most of the other branches. I have had mail delivered in the dark, with the carrier s using small head lights on their forehead, to see what they were doing. Going in person is only a "good experience" if they have plenty of staff to work the windows. If they do not it is a long, miserable experience. I have almost everything shipped through Amazon, UPS and FedEx these days, for good reason. Even with raises and giving the post office more money, over time, this particular branch seems to have perpetual problems. No apologies to give this branch overall a D grade.
I have had two separate issues with my mail delivery and both times I feel like it wasn’t handled the best. Definitely not like, “ oh sorry for the mix up blah blah blah…” Just it is how it is the end. So not really a fan. Still having to deal with previous people mail coming or getting mixed with mine. And packages. Also had a PO Box there paid 6 months had it 2 and didn’t know how to refund the remaining balance. I was like whatever. So I guess 3 not so great separate experiences.
This place is awful I had a package dropped off there by UPS and it's been there since Jan 7th waiting for acceptance can't talk to anyone in person because their automated system gives you the run around and it claims it left missouri the 6th but my tracking info says its at this usps just sitting there nothing being delivered or accepted. I've never had a issue with the post office but for some reason they don't have their stuff together and my package is still sitting there. And not a single thing I can do about it.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Every time I have to come here the workers make it just that more ok if the USPS becomes privatized. Worst post office in the metro. they know this. They take pride in it.
This annex decided to not deliver an Amazon package on Sunday and blatantly lied to myself, three Amazon reps, and on their own tracking service. They said the package was undeliverable due to an incorrect address. They said this when asked by an Amazon rep, then said the package came in too late to be delivered. I made no less than three calls to Amazon as the USPS is near unreachable on Sunday. I did speak to a rep and she lied to me about the failed delivery reasoning. Both my wife and myself were home when they reported the package undeliverable due to incorrect address. I received it the next day and not only was the address completely correct, someone wrote “no access” on the package which was a blatant lie as our apartment’s secured access entry intercom system is in working condition and we were both home. This location should be purged of its delivery and annex staff as they are willing to lie rather than do the job they are paid to do. Addendum: 12/14/19 More of the same. In the same week a package was left in front of a easily accessible mailbox instead of buzzing my unit while I was home. Free to be stolen. The management even said that she gives them keys for access. Then on Saturday of the same week their tracking system listed it as out for delivery, then to be delivered the following Monday, then delivered. It wasn’t. Only after a half hour of waiting on hold was I informed that it was listed as “undeliverable”. This was not in the tracking notation. I issued a formal complaint and 78 one star reviews wishing zero was an option confirm these problems. I filed an official complaint, but I doubt I’m the first person to do so, if you can use any other provider. Do so. The postal service will not fix this location.
