Port Soiree is a hidden gem. I have been there for a few of my anniversaries and birthdays already. Everything always taste amazing. If you like snails there a must try. Many of there menu items are so good. You will not be disappointed.
This restaurant was recommended to us and we were certainly not let down. It is very casual and comfortable, so don't overdress. All of the food was great, but the mussels are a definite "must try". The homemade Marinara sause is used for multiple dishes, ask if you main uses this sauce, so your experience is not limited. And yes, they use tomatoes from their own garden. Enjoy! Parking: They have a parking lot behind the building, plus there is street parking. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp on the north side of the building.
A most enjoyable dining experience. Food was superb! I had the Fettucini Alfredo. The service was friendly and quick. The dining room is small and very personable. Overall a delightful, intimate dining experience that I would highly recommend you trying.
Went there about 6 with reservations. I had heard mostly great things about the food in spite of a few negative reviews. The restaurant was about 1/4 full and we were promptly attended to by the man I believe to be the owner. He was very business like and had little time for small talk, easy to understand considering he was doing everything but cooking. Our half litre of Pinot Grigio came quickly followed shortly by stuffed mushrooms which were amazing. We both ordered the lamb shank special which also was served much faster than other places we had been to. It was delicious, cooked to perfection shrouded in potatoes and other veggies. We both were very impressed with the establishment and will return.
This was the first time visiting Port Soiree and it was a wonderful experience. The dining room was perfect in size and the decor very inviting. Service was top notch, friendly and helpful. The menu had so many tasteful choices we had a hard time choosing our meal. We wanted everything. Appetizers were delicious. My wife had the stuffed mushrooms and I had the steamed mussels. As for the entrees, my wife had the pasta with tomato sauce from home grown tomatoes and I had the veal scaloppini. Delicious and the portions were perfect. A wonderful experience and strongly recommend Port Soiree to anyone. Dan and Nancy
One of the few truly fine dining places left. Excellent food and wine, excellent service, and quiet enough for intimate conversation.Food: 5/5
We stopped in to grab some food while attending the Schomberg Fair, we were just looking for a place that was open on Saturday evening which wasn't many. WOW were we surprised with the service and food. We sat on the patio as we had our 2 dogs with us, the staff was extremely friendly and brought water for our dogs without us requesting. The chorizo appetizer was great with just the right sized portion. The lamb chops I had were phenomenal and the cooked vegetables were just as good, likely the best asparagus I've ever had, and the other veggies were good too. My girlfriend had the fish special at the time which was parrot fish, which neither of us had heard of, it came with the same vegetables again amazing and the fish was tender, and with a nice mild flavor. The kids had the lava cakes for dessert and these were just as great as everything else. They seemed to be homemade and not a heat and serve. We are looking forward to going back. Highly recommend this hidden gem.
Always the best. great meal grilled quail and venison & lobster risotto in a cosy atmosphere. Dividers set up as a covid precaution. Worth the drive every time
Just perfect service! My wife and I appreciate that always. The food was delicious too and their Moscato was a delight. My wife loved her seafood dish with rice and I really enjoyed my signature penne dish. Plus the cod cakes to start and the creme Brulee to finish, yumm! When the debit machine wasn't working due to internet connectivity issues, the server gave us a nice lil glass of Porto while we waited! Not necessary at all but definitely a fantastic gesture! Will return again for sure!
Loved it, the for and ambiance are great and they don't rush you. Wonderful!Food: 5/5
