My wife brought me back a bag of your espresso beans from Canada. We live in Oxfordshire UK and I’ve not tasted coffee beans this good over here! I make my coffee with oat milk and it seems to work so well with these beans. Shame your shop doesn’t allow shipping to UK!
Thanks for the reply. I got two bags of Poppa Bean half lb beans at a farmer's market. Unfortunately I didn't notice that one of the bags Kenya seemed very old until I got home. The bag is very wrinkly, the label is pealing off and the colour of the label is wearing off, too bad I was in a rush at the market and didn't really inspect that. Also, I was told that "most" beans were roasted the day before, but who knows how old those beans really are; how does the owner even keep track of that without potentially mixing old batches with new ones? I just don't understand how any serious roaster would choose not to put the roast day on the bag, especially when most beans are roasted very dark, and stored in paper bags without any seal; they won't stay fresh for long at all. Perhaps my expectations were too high as I heard good things about Poppa Bean before, sadly, it didn't live up to my expectations. To me, a 3-star rating is neutral, unfortunately, my experience was on the negative side...
We only drink Poppabean. Tanzanian peaberry is our favourite.
I buy Poppa Bean coffee at the Cumberland Farmers Market when I need it. $15 per pound. Delicious! Support local!
My family and I have been drinking Poppa Bean coffee for years! It’s easy to support a great local business when the quality of the product is so wonderful. Fair trade, super flavourful, lots of options to choose from, and it’s easy to access via their awesome “Vendor’s Project” initiative.
Decent place to buy coffee beans. The people who work with them are always super friendly. I've bought beans from them on numerous occasions at the market location over the years and never from the grocery stores. The beans are always decent. A few things I've noticed is that the beans are often oiler than other roasters from ?Older roasted beans or roasted past 2nd crack. The oiler beans tend to clump more and leaves residue in my grinder. My shots tend to be less consistent as a result. The bags are not sealed and don't have roasted dates so you have no idea how fresh it is. The positives are the price at 14$ a pound and the friendly staff so 5 out 5 there. The coffee I would give a 3 out 5, give it a try and your experience may be different than mine.
Amazing coffee, competitive pricing, and fast free local delivery. I haven't bought a single bean from elsewhere since discovering Poppa Bean! Honduras Finca Lara and Tanzanian Peaberry are my absolute favourites.
Awesome. I ordered my coffee yesterday and voila...today it was delivered. No more of the grocery store plonk...I know plonk is a word commonly used to describe cheap wine, but Poppa Bean coffee is like fine wine to my palate. Thank you a thousand fold.
This place was some of the best coffee beans in the Ottawa valley. We've been very impressed by the flavor and quality of coffee. We have been drinking this coffee for a few years now and it never disappoints.
Picked a bag of the espressos beans up from the Westboro farmers market. It is a very good blend. Smoth taste that isnt too acidic. Love it.
