Poolside Shop at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort

On the evening of August 25th, we visited this shop to purchase a swimsuit, as we were unable to visit Invermere. The owner or associate, Brenda, who appeared to be in her late 70s, exhibited unprofessional behavior that made our experience unpleasant. Despite our two young children being well-behaved and quietly waiting while my wife tried on swimsuits, Brenda followed us around the store, giving the impression that we were being suspected of theft. Her demeanor was unwelcoming, yet she had no issue accepting $200 for a swimsuit and $5 for an over priced chapstick. As professionals, this was the first time we have been made to feel uncomfortable in a retail setting. In hindsight, I regret making the purchase and wish we had gone into town instead. The selection is mediocre and somewhat expensive for the lack of customer service skills for someone in retail. I generally never leave poor google ratings but this retailer left very bad and upsetting experience for our family.

Amazing selection of swimsuits for people of all sizes. A great mix of items ranging from sunscreen, souvenirs and clothing to backpacks and flip-flops and trinkets. Prices are high but there is a one-time discount card given to resort campers which helps.

I have sent people to this store for years. Have always been pleased with the service and choice pre COVID. So very disappointed with the current lack of selection of bathing suits. Supply chain? Mismanagement? Poor planning? Something has to change quickly if business hopes to continue.

Bought my daughter a pair of watershoes there because I forgot hers and they charged 31 dollars for some really very very bad quality shoes. I'm aware that they can be overpriced there but If you're going to charge that much at least make sure they are good quality products. They kept coming off of my daughters feet and I couldn't get the smaller size because the soles were to small, the ones she had the soles were perfect just the material streched out in the water so they would fall off. Highly would NOT recommend this place.

The website says that the bathing suit shop is open, but it's closed until further notice. Really disappointed. We came from pretty far away, to shop and swim.
