The Museum was established in 1976. It is located in the landmark Shawville train station of the Pontiac Pacific Junction Railway (210 Lake Street) in Shawville, Quebec, at the southwest corner of the Fairgrounds. The collections include a variety of costumes, quilts, farm and forestry implements, vintage furniture, pottery and porcelain, militaria, domestic appliances, paintings and photographs, some of them dating from the time of Pontiac’s first settlers.
