ER is an absolute joke. Had a nurse not allow me to lay down while inserting an I’ve manpreet I believe. Was bleeding all over, sweating profusely and she just kept saying “wait a minute” while I was telling her I was about to throw up. Dr johannes van der whatever doesn’t give a singular care in the world. Pulls back curtain, says “X-rays ok, bloodwork ok, they will let you leave “ not a single question or care in the world. Probably the worst dr I’ve ever experienced. Wouldn’t go back to this hospital
This hospital used to be great but now it'a terrible. Have been sitting in the emergency room for hours waiting to be checked in.nThe nurses ignore you when your calling for them. This is what happens with the UCP in charge of Alberta. Albertans ignored but health care staff when they're in their moment of need.
Just go to Lacombe or Rimbey. This ER is a joke..Staff are friendly, just obviously short staffed.. Waiting times are Brutal any time I've ever went.
I've had to come here twice in the last three days due to heart emergencies. The nurses and doctors are amazing, the speed and attention they give you is unlike any I've seen at other hospitals throughout Alberta.
My brief time I spent in Ponoka after brain surgery was great, the best team round, a special shout out to the rehab team, Ian was able to get me back on my feet moving in the early stages of my recovery he remained positive and a bright light in a very dark time on my life.
