Polonia Cafe

Holy hell! I've never seen better service! Becky knew our drinks. And most others too. Knew what we liked. Refilled our drinks without being asked. Refilled water when it was half full. I found out her name cause she knew mine. Great bacon cheeseburger! Awesome little place in Polonia. Worth the drive!

We have had breakfast and dinner here several times in the past and, before our most recent visit, it has always been a pleasant dining experience. We always felt of Polonia Cafe as a place we could regularly eat at for quality food and a friendly wait staff. Unfortunately, our most recent visit, was quite opposite. When we ordered, we had some basic questions about items on the menu, and the waitress was unable to answer the questions. It was certainly fine that she did not know the answers, but frankly she did not care. Instead she laughed as if were were ignorant and never offered to ask the cook to clarify. After serving us our food, our waitress did not return to our table once until she delivered the bill. She did not ask to make sure we had everything we needed or inquired how the food tasted, which would have been appreciated, because the steak was the toughest steak my husband had ever had and we were not happy with it at all. Sadly, she never bothered to ask. Perhaps equally disturbing, while we were eating a teenage patron entered the cafe and the entire waitstaff seemed more concerned about entertaining that young man than the rest of the patrons in the restaurant. It was as if the waitstaff were catering over this patron and having a social event. It was as if the rest of the guests were invisible. What was extremely shocking was when that teenage young man made his way behind the cashier desk! Since when does a restaurant allow patrons to enter into areas where other patron's food is being prepared?! Extremely disturbing and inappropriate, even for a more casual dining experience! Also when we arrived they were playing Polka music which we were enjoying, shortly after the teenage boy arrived they changed the music over to hip-hop. We will not be going back and we hope Polonia Cafe improves their service and manners. Perhaps with it being the weekend, management was not present?

Love this place, The Waitresses are awesome and they have a great fish fry on Friday nights. If fish fry isn't your thing they also have fried shrimp and baked fish as well. They make a mean cinnamon roll pancake too. Can't go wrong eating at the Polonia Cafe!
