I always enjoy seeking out these heritage landmarks whenever I can. It is however very disappointing to see when they are incredibly neglected. Some major TLC is needed. I came to visit on a very grey day and still enjoyed the surrounding area coming in from the charming village of Pointe Claire. Looking forward to seeing this windmill fixed one day.
Loved this spot. Came here during sunrise, such a beautiful spot to catch a peaceful sunrise located by the waterfront with soft hues of pink, orange, and gold painting the sky.nnThe windmill itself adds a historical touch, standing proudly against the backdrop of the changing sky.There are often few people around at this time of day because of school nearby.Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quiet, picturesque spot to greet the day.
We had a lovely time here! Stunning scenery and a relaxing spot in the Pointe-Claire village. Plenty of parking lots, beautiful waterfront, and the Pointe-Claire windmill. Easy to find via google map. A great spot for photos and simply for fun, for nature and for relaxing.
Lovely places to visit this place along side with a Church. On the left side of the windmill located a nice park with beautifully arranged sitting benches facing towards the river .
I made it just in time to witness the sunset as the sun slowly disappears into the horizon. Just marvelous to see it from here!nDriving here was as one way easy as it gets, plenty of parking spots too, although 1 hour parking only, which is more than enough to explore around!nThere is just one more thing about the sound and the sighting of the shore at this time of the year that makes it even more special!
