This was my first time glamping, but I can promise you it will not be my last! I stayed in a 1961 Wolfe camper that was called “Fiesta and Siesta,” and I had the coziest stay. The site was fully equipped with a propane grill, fire pit, and picnic table. They have 5 vintage campers, 4 yurts/luxury tents, and 13 cabins available to rent at extremely affordable rates. They said it best themselves when they claimed they were the place “Where Roughing it Doesn't Have to Be That Rough.”
We rented 3 cabins for a group of guys on an ice fishing trip. Rooms were nicer than expected. The setup they have at the resort is very accommodating for all sorts of different groups. WiFi was great, kitchens had everything you needed and if you needed anything extra there was always someone available to help. Definitely will be staying again.
Looking for spring break that is actually a break? They have everything you need to take it easy. The cabin had a full kitchen, comfortable living space, and two bedrooms. You can just lounge in a cozy cabin or take a short stroll over to the rec room to play a board game, or a game of pool. The drive into Eagle River is quick and gives you access to some really great restaurants and locally owned shops! This is the perfect place to recharge.
This weekend we stayed at the POV in the Baby Face A frame tent. What a pleasant experience! The tents were very well kept, clean, comfortable beds, gas grill for cooking and tiki torches as well! We also choose to rent a pontoon boat for one of our days. My email had gone to spam prior to arrival but the owners were very prompt in answering any questions and got us signed up right away. The boat rental day weather took a turn which left us with a few hours of rain with our two boys. We spent that time playing games in their rec room. We played board games, pool, foosball, listened to music, laughed and had an all around awesome time! My boys went to shoot hoops while we prepared dinner as well. There was a nice beach with kayaks and paddleboards and sand toys. Multiple docks, which we caught a HUGE fish off! Only regret is we didn't have enough time to enjoy all the fun it had to offer. We will be back next summer to try out one of their cabins! Thanks for the great stay!
We had a blast snowmobiling. Owners are really nice. Lots of great resturants close by. Cam't say enough about the place.Dublins, Twin Lakes and Great EscapeRooms: 5/5
Unique glamping experience. We stayed in the safari tent Capone #7 which allowed plenty of space inside for our family of 5. The only drawback from the kids’ perspective was the number of spiders that shared the tent with us. But that comes with the territory I suppose. There’s a nice little trail that links the campground area to the lake. We enjoyed using the variety of kayaks, paddle boats, SUP, etc. Our 8 year old especially loved fishing from the docks. Our 11 year old appreciated the Four Square court. Our 6 year old thought the Rec center boardgames were pretty awesome. We were fortunate to have beautiful 70+ degree weather for our mid-August stay.
My daughter and I had a fabulous time at POV! We stayed in one of the airstreams - it was comfortable and had great style. The lake is gorgeous - perfect for kayaking, swimming, and lovely at sunset. Genevieve and Darren were incredibly gracious. We will definitely return!Rooms: 5/5
This place was amazing. A little bit far from Chicago however worth the drive. The owners really took care of us. Really worth a good getaway from the city. Ice fishing for the first time was a great experience for both me and my entire family. Caught a few..... Enjoy the rec room for those of us that didn't want to stay out on the cold ice. Definitely planning another trip in the spring/summer
Coady’s POV is the most charming and adorable campground I’ve ever visited. The vintage campers are a dream and Genevieve is such a sweetheart and so accommodating. The rest of the family/staff was wonderful as well. We had the best time. Thanks for a great weekend! We will be backRooms: 5/5
My partner and I spent the weekend in the bring your own tent site and HAD AN AMAZING TIME! The owners were very friendly, bathrooms are clean and there is even an onsite store in case you forget anything. That plus a rec room with billiards, TVs, and board games, boats to rent, and over all good vibes, the whole family will have a ball. We will certainly be going again and look forward to staying in the Hawaiian Yurt next time. 10 of 10 would visit again :
