A great little cafe that opened along Main Street Unionville that puts an intentional focus on great beverages. I've had their Americano as well as an Iced Hojicha latte and appreciate the higher quality ingredients they use to make their drinks. The aromas as well as flavours are nuanced and have a pleasant amount of depth. I also appreciate that they sell coffee beans and teas that aren't as easily found like Happy Goat a personal favourite and De Mello. Definitely a nice addition that shakes up the coffee options around Markham!
Cute store on beautiful Main Street Union. The coffee is really good too. Highly recommended the pour over coffee which is not too strong, mildly acidic with a long finish. Their cookies are very nice: crunchy exterior while soft and melting inside. You can park at the public parking about 300m north opp the church
Cute coffee spot to get your morning coffee from! They have Minor Figures Oat, which is my favourite favourite favorite oat milk brand. Their coffee tasted amazing. You can sit outside to enjoy a cup.
Ordered the summer special - although the drink itself was very good I was not impressed with how it was filled to the brim with ice, to the point that I could barely put the straw in. When I took this picture it had already melted quite a bit, but there was still a ton of ice. Combined with the fact that the cups are small, it feels like I purchased ice with a bit of drink mixed in. Still giving 2 stars because I actually did enjoy the drink the short while it lasted. Edited with reply to owner: Thanks for your reply. No I was not asked. Although offering me the “less ice” option certainly would have helped, in my opinion the default option really should not be to tightly pack the cup to the brim with ice. We both know that no one intentionally orders their drink like that, so to me it seemed a bit dishonest.
Pod coffee is located in the centre of main st unionville right beside the alley. It is a dainty coffee place that serves a variety of coffee/tea beverages. The beans they use here are demello beans and the coffee is well done. I would recommend going here and getting a flat white : .
Hands down my favourite non-bbt drinks shop, which is funny considering I’m not even a big coffee drinker my go-to drinks to get from pod are the iced matcha much better than Starbucks and sparkling yuzu. Their drinks are smooth and are not too sweet at all. I also love their cookies - my favourite is the white chocolate yuzu one, which I always buy if I see it available since I can’t seem to find it anywhere else. Despite its appearance, it is not too sweet at all and is delicious. Their store vibe is also nice I’ve always been a fan of the minimalistic and sleek look. they have a cute outside sitting area which is more private than the other main st stores, which makes it perfect for me to chill outside with my dog and cookie. Lastly their service is outstanding, the staff are always incredibly friendly and patient, and very knowledgeable of their products. Definitely a quality place and will remain as my go-to whenever I’m in the area
Nice decor, customer service at minimal, I wasn’t sure if thats their style. I ordered a cold brew, it’s light roasted and leaves a sour taste in your mouth after. Not what I expected for a summer drink. Will get a starbucks nitro way better next time since it costs about the same.
Love the matcha latte and cookies here! The matcha is a nice deep green and pretty concentrated, not too sweet! It's hard to find a good matcha latte that has the right amount of matcha and I'm glad this place does it right! The cookies were great too and had a nice chewy texture!
It’s been a year since pod coffee opened up on Main St., Unionville but this was my first opportunity to go and check them out. This quaint cafe with some outdoor seating is located beside the Alley bubble tea shop. They only allow 5 customers into the cafe at a time. Sanitizer is available. In terms of payment options they accept all major credit cards, Square, Apple Pay, and Google pay. They have an array of options including brewed, pour over, and espresso based coffee options. They offer oat milk, almond milk, pea milk, and Rebel Kitchen Barista Mylk a blend of oat, coconut cream, faba bean extract and nutritional yeast as dairy free alternatives for $0.65 surcharge. I ordered an americano misto with Mylk. The resulting beverage was one of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time! The coffee was strong, smooth but not acidic or bitter or burnt tasting, and the Mylk imparted a creamy mouthfeel similar to but creamier than oat milk. Drinking certain mainstream coffees result in gastritis but this one did not. And even with the milk alternative, the coffee was reasonably priced. They don’t just sell coffee though! There were some really tasty sounding iced sparkling drinks including yuzu and rhubarb juniper. They also sell muffins and in-house baked cookies in intriguing flavours such as Smarties, Mars, Kinder Bueno, and Chocolate Mini Egg. A selection of SOMA chocolates are also available for purchase. I can certainly see why pod coffee has such great reviews!
No place to sit. London fog and Flat white are really good. Don’t order Lavender Latte that tastes like milk + syrup…super sweet…
