Unhelpful, uninterested, scripted interaction over the phone and then transferred to a national call center. I contacted a different branch that was happy to help.

Horrible service. I tried to cash a check and they required 2 forms of identification. Apparently a pilots license, MasterCard, visa, drivers license and several other things weren't good enough

I have had an account with PNC Bank for about 5 years now, and until a couple years ago I enjoyed having them as my bank. I have however, switched to Chase and am not regretting it at all! They have way better costumer service than this bank will ever have. No one will lie to me, they are very honest and are adamant about security. PNC couldn't give less thought about any of that. They will lie to you about due dates, i.e. 5 days from now you will be charged each day for overdraft fees, when in reality its two days and you're out of town and can't due anything about it. Then when you call and say hey you lied to me, they say it's all in the loan paperwork and you're solely responsible for that, not us. I've lost my job in January both last year and this year, and in fear of overdraft fees I wanted to turn my bank account to where if the funds aren't there, the transaction won't come through. I've been in 3 times now and have called about 5, and they STILL HAVEN'T FIXED IT. Needless to say I've closed my account and will never go back.

They do not close at 1pm on sat. It is 12pm. This messed me all up when I went to get a money order to buy a house and was 15 late. Change your times of business online!!!!

I went in on a Friday to look into an inactivity fee. I approached the counter, was told I would have to see a representative, and was directed to the waiting area. There was only one representative, who was clearly having a personal conversation while I waited for a half an hour. Finally I was called up to the counter and was apologized to, while the teller said she could refund the fee. (Interesting, considering I was initially told by another teller that there was nothing they could do) Finally, the teller said she could not personally refund the fee, the bank manager would have to do that, who was out for the day. The teller told me she would leave a note for the manager, who would go ahead and refund the account. I had wanted to cancel the account that day, but since the fee could not be refunded I was instructed to wait until next week. I returned on the following Wednesday and was told the fee was refunded so I went ahead to withdraw all funds. However, the funds were ten dollars short (due to the same fee). I pointed this out, and was told I was charged a second inactivity fee on Monday, and refunded for that fee on Tuesday. Therefore, the original fee I went into correct on Friday had never been refunded. The teller then informed me the manager was out on the Wednesday as well, and there was nothing she could do. The business practices and customer service at this bank are horrendous, and I will never use this bank again.
