Our first time there. To start we had to register providing a photo ID. t They took a picture and gave us a card. We got 10$ in credit giving them our email. We liked their page on Facebook and got 10$ dollars. As we don't go to casinos, and it was Sunday morning it was a good place to figure out how slots work. The service was very kind and friendly. The place was clean and very well maintained. We were asked to show the vaxicode and ID. We will go back for sure maybe at night.
Nice place..very modern..lots of specials here for food menu..lots of prizes to be won too!!
Great place to unwind and it is not too far from home. Usually people who work at the casino are prohibited from playing. I was surprised to see somebody winning jackpots who said that he was an employee of the casino. A few of us were there when he admitted to being an employee. Then his friend who was sitting beside him not sure he was an employee also was winning big. They both left their machines and then the machines were marked Out of Service.until they returned. Not fair for those of us waiting to play a machine. The specials at the Rail are great. For the 5:00 pm specials, only once have we seen them take names for seating as we congregate in the entrance to the Rail like a herd of cattle. Arguments ensue because people are not respecting the "First come, first served". Also, having a multitude of people gathering in front of the door is a potential fire hazard. All that being said, the food is great, except the ve vegetables definitely need to be cooked longer because they are too hard to enjoy.
I've recently started going back to Playground since moving back to Montreal and man has this place completely nose-dived from the professional and client-focused premier poker room it used to be. For starters its almost 10x bigger and as a result the high quality of service that it once offered to its clients has been completely watered-down to almost nothing. Most of their dealers now are young kids who have zero sense of professionalism towards their job or the clients on the table, and act like they don't want to be there. Most of them aren't smiling or in a good mood. They're openly complaining nonstop about how long their shift is, being overworked and underpaid, counting down the shifts until they go home, etc,...IMO, if you don't want to be there then leave, but don't dampen the mood for the people who are there to have a good time. A couple of the dealers were so unprofessional that they were openly discussing another members' personal life with other players on the table. But as they say; you get what you pay for. And from what I've constantly heard on the tables from the dealers themselves, its not much. Another issue with these new young dealers is the number of mistakes being made. I understand that they're young and consequently more prone to making errors, but OMG, misdeal after misdeal, exposed cards, delays trying to calculate the rake. And twice on my table the dealer awarded the pot to the losing hand. It's almost laughable how bad the dealers are now. I understand at the end of the day it is a business and for the owners its all about making money, but its sad to see this once great and wonderful place decide to put quantity over quality.
I played continuously and lost over 2K and I never saw a waitress around to drink water. In video lottery side.
Alot of choices for slots machines, POKER tables an tournement, big money and food is delicious and very low price. Member card is required for playing
Another great visit. Great Room, well organized. Poker Atlas or call ahead for the list. Saturday night busy. Showed up 45 minutes after list call waited 5 minutes.
Waited 1h for a drink. 300$ gone in 1h30. Super hungry the machines. With the bad service and loss so fast couldn’t give more then 3 stars. Returned again, wasn’t very good service but at least i got to play a longer time. Even won the jackpot of a machine. Wasn’t much but it was much appreciated when you have nothing. Glad i went back. Wish that they’re were more waitresses for the machines
A Vegas expérience near Montréal. Perfect spot to relax. You can even smoke and play near the back. It’s a great spot and we always look forward to go. The staff is super friendly and many poker tables. I’m not a gambler but I love this place. Oh oh, almost forgot. Like Vegas they bring you drinks to your machine or table for free. Beer, wine, etc.
Best poker room in North America! Very well run. Knowledgeable floor people. Excellent food and staff.
