Finally visited Play A Latte Cafe, after searching for a indoor playground experience near me suitable for little ones. It was very easy booking my time slot on online, and chat with an agent with any questions I had prior to my visit. I ended up bringing my two children under two and my nephew just under 4 years old. The kids had an absolute blast! There was even a section that was safe for my 9-month-old to crawl around and explore. We ordered food and everything was delicious, they even had vanilla ice cream cones for a dollar for the kids. :. There is also a very cute toy/kids shop attached picked up a few things for birthdays. We will definitely be back and be letting other friends in the area know to pop in. Worth the cost!
This is a fun place and it was awesome that they had all different specialty drinks. No complaints about the idea of the place-- it's a great idea. The thing that bothered me is that it didn't seem well-run. There were apparently no rules regarding dangerous play. They had these big bouncy animals that kids were allowed to toss down the tube slide causing a huge ruckus and then the animal would come shooting out the end-- any tot walking by would be bowled over. They kind of have a baby/young toddler area, but so often the bigger kids would come tearing through without any regard for the tots. I brought my 1 year old, and didn't feel safe leaving her side for even a moment. Now of course maybe the management isn't to blame for this-- but some parents who literally didn't keep an eye on their kids. It would be great if they separated the toddler area. It would be smarter and more safe for kids who are so young. Again, it's a great idea but needs to be managed better. Bonus: one of the workers was asleep at her post when we went to order a drink.
I’ve been to a TON of indoor play areas and this is the only place I’ve seen that charges any adult entering the play area the same amount they charge the kids. My husband and I were asked to pay 10 dollars each plus the 10 dollars for our kid to play. So, essentially you’re paying to be able to watch your kid. It’s a cute play area but it’s a small structure. Coffee and food were decent, but I wouldn’t come back when every other indoor playground charges only per child.
Always very friendly staff! I don’t have a kid, but I still stop by often for the yummy food. I really enjoy the Turkey havarti sandwich.
Love this place and concept. Truly no complaints about service/atmosphere! It’s adorable and my kids loved it. Although, I would be encouraged to come more often if there wasn’t a charge for a parent accompanying children. Considering most parents are there to enjoy food and beverage and will be spending a majority of cost on that, I think it’s a bit excessive to charge entry additionally for each parent.
Can't say much because we were there for a small birthday party, and didn't purchase any food or drinks. The place itself is super cute, and is very beneficial for people who have kids with sensitivities auditory, etc. We had kids there from ages 1 to 8, and there was something for them all to do. I will definitely be returning.Atmosphere: 5/5
Great place for little ones to go and play while parents try to have a coffee. They offer a great space for birthday parties however the catering is pretty expensive. Overall the coffee is good and the kids love the space.Service: 4/5
Drove all the way from Hamilton with my 2 year old and were rudely told that we needed prebooked tickets to enter. Nowhere on the search listing or website for this place are you able to understand that it's not a cafe for parents and kids to enjoy, it's just a ticketed play area. My daughter was so excited to see the play area and had been sitting patiently in a car for an hr. Seeing my confusion and distress the staff still couldn't care less and told me they were already full at 10 am and told me how to make bookings for next time. I left with a crying child, I'd be crazy if I drove an hr to such a place ever again.
Play a Latte has been one of our favourite places for our kiddos. My 6 year old daughter has attended camps for 2 years and even during Covid she came home each day telling us how great her day was. The camp leaders were amazing!
We come here frequently for playdates and always have a wonderful experience which is why we decided to book our sons Birthday party here. Communication was excellent as far as booking, catering etc and staff were able to answer any questions we had in advance and in a timely manner. The day of the party was so smooth and Ronak was extremely helpful with set up, food and drinks and made the experience pleasant and easy which was so nice. We always appreciate how friendly and helpful everyone is each visit. I cannot recommend this place more you can tell how much the owners care not only about their business but everyone who visits! We will definitely continue to enjoy making lots of memories with our kids here :
