Used to love shopping at this location. The customer experience was typically what brought me in. During my last few visits I’ve been less than impressed. Just to give you an idea, I watched 2 girls go through my buy and stop to talk at several points for several minutes at a time, along with making comments about my stuff. It just seemed completely unnecessary and made the experience very uncomfortable. I will most likely avoid this location in the future
I had such an awesome customer service experience. I bought a coat and while I was in store the staff was so friendly and nice. The coat ended up having a tear in it and I called the store to see what they could do. They offered me a discount for the damage and were so lovely and kind about it! Thank you again and keep up the awesome customer service :
Quite disappointed to see that this store is not accessible no automatic door for those who use a wheelchair. I have been to other locations which have made their store accessible. I don’t know that there really is an excuse for this in 2022 other than laziness, ignorance, or cheapness. I also brought in some clothes and was pretty disappointed with the offer given for some of my items but that’s to be expected from a for-profit business — I just took back the clothing that I wasn’t offered a fair price for.
Terrible store. Went in with like 10 items all barely worn in new condition. With a pair of shoes that sell used 150$ and I waited 45 minutes just for them to look over my stuff and offer me 20$ for everything.I had over 120$ of new barely used clothes. If you like waiting for 45 minutes for terrible offers come to this store. I literally walked around for 45 minutes looking at stuff while they checked my items and I can tell you first hand, they’re clothes are old dusty and garbage.
A solid little spot. This is WAYYYY better than the location by Oakville place. I found some really solid stuff here, although the men's section is definitely quaint. It's pricier than say, Value Village, by maybe $5-$10 each piece, but that doesn't mean you can't find some steals. I got a thick Danier leather jacket, mint condition, for $30. That's pretty much as good as it gets for thrifted leather jacket deals. Also got a pretty snazzy Zara button-up for $20. Not a total steal, but it's easier to find fashionable stuff here than other thrift stores - as to be expected. Also, they had a really good selection of men's jeans, so consider that. Again, only downside is that the men's section is quite small, so if you are a man, don't expect to spend too long in here. You'll either find something cool in 5 minutes, or be done.
The reviews which mention the employees not buying anything or not properly going through your items - are true. I brought in 2 containers of clothing, most brand new/brand new with tags of ontrend brands, neatly ironed and folded. Got the text to come pickup in like 10 mins. Noticed half my container was still folded the same way I had folded it. When I asked them why my items hadn't been properly gone through they said they fold back your items after they look at them. That was a lie as I fold my clothes in a specific way. If you really fold back all the clothes, why was half all unfolded/tossed back in? Employee then said sometimes they pass on the item completely if its not a brand they take - how would you know if its a brand you take if you don't even unfold it to look at it? Coming here was a waste of time, I'd suggest the Oakville location as the employees are more mature and have a better sense of style and actually take the time to go through ALL your items. All employees here are very young and look at most probably 15-17 year olds. Id honestly have issues trusting their fashion sense.
I was greeted by a young lady who explained the procedure for items I had brought in to sell who was very polite and friendly. Impressed. I took the time and effort to make sure the clothing items I took were on hangars with a bag over top of them to keep them neat organized and unwrinkled. The items they gave back to me were simply thrown back into the bags with no care at all. Not impressed.
Been coming here for a couple months. All of a sudden they asked me to check my bag at the door like I'm a thief. When I asked if they thought I would steal I was told it was store policy. Weird, not the last 5 times I've been there. Never shopping here again how insulting. Don't bother coming here.
Let's see...No one welcomed us in the store, only the younger generation got welcomed. The store smelled bad, the selection was not great and some of the clothes were stained. Well the service....had to inform the cashier that I have an account and to let her know that I was going to use my discount. I should have read the reviews before I went there. I learned my lesson will stick with the St.Catherine's location.
The staff here are friendly and I always find great stuff! Not to mention that the prices are better than goodwill and value village
