Thank you so much to the team that worked on Family Day! You guys absolutely rocked an insane day! I can’t thank you enough for going above and beyond my expectations for my son’s Birthday Party. I had read some negative reviews and wasn’t sure what to expect. It was total chaos but everyone seemed to know what was going on and you all ran it incredibly smoothly. The kids had a blast and I appreciate that you all checked in and made it a wonderful experience. Thank you so much! Your newest staff member was incredibly friendly and did an amazing job. Your other staff members were incredibly efficient and ran a smooth ship. We will be happy to recommend you to our friends and we will definitely do it again!
Worst staff I have ever encountered. Count your cards because the staff sure can't count. Too busy ripping off customers and making up policies to actually help people or run a business. Sad really. The facility seems decent but the experience is ruined by the horrible staff.
Very busy and very loud but SO much fun! Would be nice if there were food vendors as 3 games of laser tag works up a good appetite. I water fountain would also be very nice....kids get thirsty!
The young men who were running the show on a very busy and over-booked Saturday were so calm and cool and professional! I did get a bit snippy with them when I really should not have and they took it in stride. When I realized I was in the wrong and apologized, they waved me off with a smile.... guess they're used to moms stressing out ; It was definitely crowded and loud but I think they had a great group of young men working there that day. Kudos to them.
Terrible experience! We booked a birthday party with room. Anytime I called to confirm details or ask questions, no one answered the phone. The package promised a decorated party room, but it was bare. The pizzas we ordered were wrong and some kids were not able to eat them and were hungry. The bathrooms were dirty. There was water dripping on the ceiling in the party room. When I contacted management about these issues, they said they fulfilled the agreement. With the wrong pizzas, misleading descriptions and dirty, under maintained facilities! The lazer tag itself was fun, but do not book birthday parties there!
Place is great for the kids..but the few times I've been here..its seam to be a little dis organized and not enough staff on hand to help out..the young staff do as much and help as much as they can. But still chaotic during weekends. They only have the one arena for the actual Lazer tag...so everyone old to to young are in together and kids can and do get hurt in side. Overall great for the kids..staff are friendly and always trying their best ..just hopefully they will be more staff on hand..
Great facility BUT terrible experience with the staff. They said we didn’t have to book in advance but when we showed up over an hour before closing they tried to turn us away. Then they were very rude to us the entire time we were there. At one point the male employee aggressively grabbed my female friends shoulder from behind instead of using words to ask her to move. It was quite jarring. We love lazer tag and had a great time playing, but really very shocking how rudely we were treated. They also overcharged us and we heard them talking about how they were going to do so. We were left feeling pretty bummed with the experience with staff
We made a birthday party booking for 3:30 and my friends and I arrived at 3:00. Once we got there, the receptionist said that our booking was at 3:00 and we were late. What bothered us the most was that we called them the morning of to confirm that my booking was at 3:30 and that I should arrive at 3:00. As a result of their mistake, one of our friends were unable to play the first game. In addition, 2 of the guns didn’t work during the first game and during the second game, my gun didn’t even turn on which wasted ~10 minutes of the game without compensation. Furthermore, with the inclusion of birthday package, I ordered two pepperoni pizzas however, the employee notified us that the pizza was running late but when we got them we were served cold CHEESE pizzas instead. Overall, I felt that the team was very unorganized and that our money could’ve been better spent somewhere else.
SUMMARY: Group reservation not honoured, poorly maintained facility/equipment, and $200 price change with no notice AT time of arrival no advance notice and not outlined in contract. We were told to leave if we would not agree to the new fees. DETAIL: I’ll start by saying that I have never given anyone such a low review. We have made large party bookings previously at a number of facilities and have never encountered such poor customer service. We wish we had read some of the previous reviews prior to booking this venue. We had made a reservation at Planet Lazer for a birthday and had agreed to pay the fee listed in the written contract by paying the deposit. Upon arrival, we were informed that there had been a $200 change in price for the booking and the terms pertaining to food policies had changed. When presenting the clerk at the desk with a copy of the contract, we were informed while managing 20+ kids that we could not proceed with our birthday party unless we paid the new fee max players on the contract was 48. With food coming, and everyone having already arrived, we were essentially bullied by the facility to pay the fee, or to face simply telling everyone to go home and advising the children having their birthdays that it was just not happening. Of course we paid with the assumption that there was some form of miscommunication that could be later resolved with management. We were later shown the party room which could do with some cleaning from time to time, and allowed for some people to play laser tag. Rude and condescending to kids, and some of the equipment did not work. When later corresponding with management, we found them to be rude and were told that prices change without warning anywhere you go. A number of members of our group tried their best to resolve this matter with management with no success. One should note that nowhere in the contract does it state that prices can change without notice nor does this happen in any other business we have encountered. The contract states that prices can change if any changes are made to the booking in terms of food or number of participants no changes were made on our part. Very unprofessional conduct by management and staff, with little understanding of contractual obligations let alone common courtesy. Steer clear of this place for party bookings. Here are some other great venues to choose from where we’ve organized parties before: 365 Fundays Richmond Laserdome Plus North Van If you do choose to make use of this facility, make sure you bring extra cash to cover sudden price increases, and napkins/utensils as they were not provided.
Had a blast. Last time I was there 8 years ago the tech was buggy and old. Since then, the equipment software has kept up with the times and somehow the same old tutorial videos stayed.
