My husband and I have been to six different locations in British Columbia with the same franchisor with the only exception of North Vancouver.nnWe find the water bottle refill station very unsanitary because there is mold found along the seam.nnThe shower stalls in the women's and men's change rooms have mold right along where the tile meets the shower basin.nnRubber mats should be laid out in front of the shower area as the tile floor is extremely slippery, even wearing shower shoes.nnWe would like to see actual benches in the change rooms for space, sanitary and ease of cleaning. And for safety purposes, less chance of people hurting themselves.nnWhy can't Paper towels be provided in the bathrooms? As it is very disgusting having water sitting on the counter all day long. Providing Paper towel is not going to cost the gym much more as Paper towel is used for cleaning equipment.nnThe stretch area mats are falling apart. The stretching area is very tight especially with the equipment in there.nnWould like to see the following equipment provided such as a couple of longer mobility foam rollers. And stretching machines. For those who can't get down on the floor as we have seen in every other gym.nnWe hope to see these changes happen as we want to continue to be members of the gym.
Planet Fitness Abbotsford is clean, welcoming, and well-equipped! The staff is friendly, and the Judgment Free Zone makes workouts comfortable for everyone. Great value, especially with Black Card perks like hydro massage. Highly recommend!
I find the new machines are not really easy for me since I adjust speed and inclination manually. With previous machines, holding the button automatically worked but this new one, you have to press each time for changing. When I’m running it’s hard to push the button like 20 times to slow down for walking. Also the location of the button is too low or too far compared to the old one. Just persona feedback. Maybe it’s just me but if others find it the same, there might be something to consider
I'm very happy with the recent changes to this gym. Before the changes, my main complaint was the lack of Smith machines and benches. They've added a lot more and their better quality. My second complaint was about the ridiculous amount of cardio machines that no one ever used. All the old ones were removed and replaced with higher quality cardio machines. This gym is much better now and I'd recommend it a lot more after these changes.
I’ve been a Planet Fitness member for a long time now, and my main PF location is in a different city. I haven’t entered Abbotsford’s location for a few months, and after my experience the other day, I felt the need to say something.nI was not greeted more like stared at when I entered and scanned my card. Then during my experience I felt very nauseated as the facility stunk of body spray and unwashed machinery I know this smell as I am a frequent gym goer.nAdditionally, I felt uncomfortable as other patrons do not understand personal space and PF guidelines.nI understand that perhaps I went at a busy time, and that I shouldn’t be surprised by my experience, but I am disappointed in this location in comparison to other Planet Fitness locations I have frequented.nI appreciate their adjustment and additions of machines, but again, my experience was disappointing due to environmental factors that have the ability to be improved.
