The atmosphere of Plaka is just so inviting and perfectly set up to bring you right to the isles and give you, hands down, the best Greek cuisine you'll ever have. We started our night with the Kopanisti which was so light and flavorful and when paired with a red wine gives it an amazing extra kick of spice. We ordered dinner for two, suggested by the owner Slyvia, and were astounded by the helpings we received for the price! Everything is made by Sylvia herself and freshly prepared each day so you're getting a top-notch experience. She loves to cook and it shows! HIGHLY recommended the Calamari, I've never had it cooked to perfection like this, just melts in your mouth, yum!!! Do yourself a favor and go to Plaka!
The restaurant is very pretty inside with the lovely bright colours. Calamari was delish but I did not like the taste of the the zucchini fritters.
This little gem offers the best Greek food I have ever had. Authentic, fresh, unbelievable flavors and home-cooked style, there is a dish for everyone. Comfortable atmosphere, fantastic and friendly service. Sylvie is lovely and is so passionate about what she does. It isn't just a business, it's a calling. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Thank you, Sylvie! I can't wait to come back and try your moussaka :D.
We had sreak platter. Steak was over burnt on edges. It was cold inside. Service was good. Place is clean and easy to find and park.Food: 3/5
Wholesome, fresh and quality are words that best describe this restaurant. Plus it's got a cheerful vibe. I'm going to be honest, I don't even love Greek food but was brought here on a date. Everything was so well done that I ended up deciding I do like Greek food. It was especially nice as so many restaurants major failing is lack of fresh and good quality ingredients- which you won't find here. It was honestly so good! I will add who I initially thought was just our waiter turned out to be the owner. He was a lovely person and very charismatic for our family to visit with, as well as his mother who was helping and from Greece as well. Thank you! Come here, you won't regret it!
First time dining, and may I say it was more than excellent. We arrived just after opening which was nice with hardly anyone in the restaurant which is small but quaint. Greeted by Evan who was very professional and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough about how wonderful he is and made us very very welcome and special. I haven’t had such great service like that in years. The food was exceptional we had the lamb and chicken plus appetizers and dessert. The choice of wine that Evan picked out with our meal was just perfect pairing. I’d recommend going a little early and or definitely booking in advance. I will be returning and can’t wait for what Evan can suggest for our next meal. Thanks Evan for your excellent service. Your CNP customer. Cheers
Superb Greek cuisine. Sylvie the owner prepares each sauce and ingredient every morning so it is fresh. Atmosphere is casual yet elegant. A must try in Okotoks! Ask Sylvie about the history of the breat taking artwork that adorns the length of one wall of the restaurant! This restaurant is sure to be a huge success for years to come.
I do a lot of reviews and have never given a 5 star rating. The food is amazing and authentic. the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant is great, and the folks owners and staff are all really nice. An awesome evening of slow appreciative dining that won't break the bank.
My wife and I had an awesome experience here. I have Greek heritage so I know traditional, tasty Greek cuisine when I see and taste it! Vangelis, our server, is excellent at his job and makes time for customers - we had a great chat with him about all things Greece. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, and if you don't look outside at the Alberta snow, you could absolutely be in Greece. There's even traditional bouzouki playing in the background! Great prices too - just over $30 for deliciously tender Kleftiko! Greek options on the drinks menu too. Σας ευχαριστούμε πολύ! Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options!
Spectacular food from start to finish. Highly recommend. The owner, Sylvia, gives wonderful customer service. Everything here is house-made. Vegetarian options: Accommodate vegans and vegetarians.
