Most favourite pizzeria on both sides of the ocean. It does not get any more delicious than this even in Italy. Best Napoli pizza and freshly made pastas. Beautifully authentic Italian. Love the interior of the restaurant and equally love sitting on their road side patio. Makes you feel like being in Europe where sitting along side walks and streets to watch the buzz while having drinks and food is the most common thing to do. A must visit!
Came here in a group of 9. We each ordered our own pizzas and pastas 1 item per person. Everything was authentic, and they had a good selection of pizzas for good prices. I have to take off some stars for the non accessible/outdated washrooms, and the fact that the waiter completely forgot to put in the order for one of my friends. It's pretty standard for servers to double check group orders, but our server did not. We didn't even have a complicated order: we each got one item. We ended up waiting an extra 15-20 minutes so we could eat together; our food was cold and soggy by the time we all got our food. I was disappointed by this, however if not for this mistake then we would have had a better experience.
This place had the most incredible pizza and pasta I’ve ever tried! I ordered the Vegetariana Pizza and the Pesto Gnocchi which was a special for the day I went and it was excellent. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try great food in Toronto!
The pizza was really delicious. Thats the one star. HOWEVER, I have never experienced anything like that in my whole dining out experience. I have reserved a table for 8:30. We knew the place closes at 10 pm. After we received our order after about 10 minutes and we started to eat, the staff started to clean and tidy up the place. We were the only people in the restaurant. All the chairs got put up and the waitress started cleaning the floor even if we just started to eat and it was 1 hour before closing time. Then they turned up the music to such a volume that we couldn't even talk to each other anymore. We felt incredibly unwelcome at that point. After halfway finishing the food as quick as we could the waiter has seen it and came over straight away asking whether we wanted the bill and a box to takeaway. We weren't even asked whether we want a drink, dessert or if the food was good. We basically got kicked out the place! That is just rude. No words left. If you want to close the restaurant early don't accept reservations next time.
Ordered a Margherita pizza and arancini balls. Margherita was Decent, the sauce and cheese were both great as well as the crust. We had to return the arancini balls as they were cold from the inside, but even once they were brought back they still lacked flavour. The waiter also added some complimentary mozzarella balls which tasted much better than the arancini balls in my opinion. The service was ok. Our waiter was basically clueless when it came to the menu options and his communication was a bit off don’t know if he’s just awkward like that. The place is at the heart of Kensington market and we did the mistake of dining out on their patio which was literally on the street not in the back of the restaurant as I thought and that meant having the view of crackheads to enjoy which can be quite uncomfortable. Overall, good pizza, and if I’d be back I’d dine inside next time.
Decent food, good drinks, located right in Kensington on Augusta. Service was mediocre, long wait to take the order and some attitude rest of the time. On a positive note, menu is extensive, and includes some authentic dishes, and there's plenty of seating at large patio on the street and on the original side patio, plus plenty of seating indoors. But service could absolutely be improved, especially as prices are higher here.
The Italian food here is quite tasty. I felt in Naples once more. Cozy plase with pleasant service. I suggest to come and enjoy the authentic Italian atmosphere.
Strolling Kensington Market on a Saturday and we saw this restaurant buzzing with people outside and inside. We decided to stop and they the food! We had Napletana Pizza, seafood linguine along with Calamari in red wine and tomato sauce and Caprese salad. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice ! Would definitely recommend for a casual dine in !
We came here at the suggestion of an Italian and weren't super impressed. The pizza was on the pricier end and it wasn't even truffle pizza. The mushrooms were ok. The best part was the hot oil and we enjoyed our pizza with it. Service was good and the food was brought out quick.
Great pizzaria at Kensington Market. Staff was very friendly and professional. Pizza was delicious, bruschetta was divine, great desserts also. Totally recommend a visit.
