First time trying from this place through a delivery service and it exceeds our expectation. It’s an interesting twist to a traditional pizza, in a good way. I’d say it’s not for everyone as the pizza is on the sweet and sour, asian-like flavours compared to the traditional cheesy meat pizza. Overall, I’d recommend trying it out at least once. Their wings are also pretty good! I personally like non-breaded baked wings so this was compatible to my liking, however for those who prefers crunchy and dry wings this might be too soggy.
A different take on pizza. My fave is the Shrimbul. Generous amounts of cheese and toppings. It’s pricier than a regular pizza but if I’m happy I tried it. We got their Shrimbul, Holy Honey Sweet Potato, Monster Pepperoni and Spicy Chicken BBQ. We got take out! So make sure your pizza’s warm so the cheese is gooey and hearty. Only wish they had more red sauce to cheese ratio.
My order only took 15 min. Sweet potato pizza tasted just like I ate in Korea. So delicious. Bulgogi was a little dry an hour after I ordered it but still good. Overall I loved it.
So the only positive thing about this place is the fact that their pizzas are delicious, but the price is on a higher side and their customer service is mediocre.. We got 2 pizzas with 2 separate crust, and they forgot to apply crust to one of the pizzas. We only noticed after we started eating, and when we asked them, they refunded just the cost of the crust… If we wanted to eat without the fancy crust, we would’ve ordered it as such. Until there is another Korean pizza place, unfortunately they have no competition, but once there is, will probably transition over.
The long awaited Korean pizza joint in Toronto! I tried their signature potato pizza and it did not disappoint. The price point is higher than an average pizza but the toppings are fun and different. So if you’re in it for the new experience and how ppl in Korea eat pizza, be sure to check them out!
I’m a pizza connoisseur, I’ve ate so many pizza, one time I had over 35 slices in a week. I truest recommend this place as the pizzas were fantastic. This place is unique and Korean style. There’s so many flavours that even pizza pizza can’t compete. One thing to note is that it takes time for the staff to get the pizza ready, so make sure to call ahead of time. I’ve tried the holy honey sweet potato pizza and it was so good. I’m still thinking about it! It’s different than typical pizzas that I’m used to. It’s sweet and there was so many fillings! Usually I feel not so satisfied with a vegetarian pizza but this pizza was so delicious. There was sweet potato purée as well as actual sweet potato chunks in it. Most importantly there were corn inside too! The crust was also thin and was a nice balance! My friend usually doesn’t eat the crust and she also ate it all this time! Overall I think this is a nice pizza spot! The flavours are unique but the store is quite small so you might have to get the pizza to go. It is also a bit more expensive than typical pizza joints too. I’d definitely come back again to try the other flavours !
Pros: Cheesy and tasty; got the steak, honey sweet potato, and crazy chicken. The crazy chicken was very spicy and would not recommend. Cons: -pricey, essentially $25 for a medium pizza, but with the only Korean pizza franchise in the area, that's why they have the power to charge higher prices I guarantee there will be a flood of Korean pizza restaurants in the GTA, much like Korean fried chicken. -sold out of wings around 7 pm couple of hours after opening. -we ordered on X-mas day so I know it was busy, but an hr wait is a bit excessive we waited because that's what we came for and a couple of our friends weren't there hungry anyway -the owner has a preposterous no outside drink and food policy for our situation. due the hour wait, we decided to grab some coffee and timbits to give a snack for the kids and contain the hunger for those were hungry. yet, they still insisted no outside foods and drinks. I get if they sell coffee and instant snacks themselves ie competing products, but they don't and should simply appreciate that we just spent $90 and willing to wait for the food.
Amenities - Parking: yes small Washroom: yes 1, shared-gender Dine-in: yes small, 4-5 tables Wifi: Private Review: By far the best restaurant we've been to this year. We are already planning our next visit. The pizza experience was different in a positive way. We ordered the Signature Shrimbul with bite-style edges and it was superb. The flavors were not overwhelming and we did not feel bloated after. We also ordered Korean Galbi wings and that too was delicious. The inside is nice and welcoming. Despite the small intimate space there's room for dine-in. There is 1 shared washroom all the way at the back of the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family. Kid-friendliness: Tables are well-spaced. Kitchen is right across from the dining-area so close monitoring is advised. Seats are a little high but a child can comfortably eat. Parking: Parking is quite small. There are 4-5 slots. If you park at the nearby plaza in front of the tim hortons, about a 5 minute walk, you can get more parking space. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel-chair accessible front door.
This is the first time we try the Korean pizza today! The ingredients have shrimps and chicken. The sauce is not the same as the Italian style! The experience is different and has strong Korean influence. Overall this signature pizza is very tasty!
Pretty good overpriced pizza. We were driving by and Pizza Maru caught our eye. What’s a KOREAN style pizza? So we stopped to see. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted. So we decided on a 13” Signature Shrimbul. This was their medium. Service was pretty fast. Pizza was done in 15 mins. The pizza is basically cheese, potato, yellow and orange peppers, chili peppers, and shrimp. One shrimp per slice, there were eight slices. Overall, the pizza was ok. The crust is quite chewy. But after a while, the jaw started to get tired from the chewing. The flavour was good and quite unique. Not too salty, like American style pizzas. The bill came out to $32 without drinks. I got 5% off by paying cash. Even with the discount, it’s more expensive than regular pizza. But you do get hint of Asian in the pizza. If you’re sick of normal traditional and want to try something different, this might be the place for you. Just remember to bring lots of money.
