Love it! My favorite pizza was the Hawiian-esque one with spicy mango sauce. The taco pizza with Doritos on it was a unique twist that made it much better than normal taco pizza. They were slammed when we got there, because of a party it seemed. Pizza was being taken as soon as it was sat down. So we had to be patient, but at the end of our visit they were getting a lot of new kinds out quickly and the rush calmed down. I’m very glad we stayed patient as it was well worth it.
Very friendly and kind staff. Clean restaurant. Willing to make a custom pizza for you which is very nice. We encountered some dirty silverware and the pizza looked very dry as though it had been left out for quite a while and did not taste good. Fried chicken and mashed potatoes were good. A little pricey for quality of food. Probably ideal for after a sports game for a group a kiddos who will eat a lot and not care so much about quality.
I think the quality has gone down a bit and this particular location is heavy on the cowboy Christian vibe. I think they do a bit better job at the Sun Prairie location, which also has a nice little arcade for the kids. Always ask for a pizza when you pay for the pizza. They'll bring a fresh one of whatever you want to your table. Stick to the pan crust - the thin is terrible.
Was to the Verona Pizza Ranch on 11/1/22 Food was great service was good, But very disappointed that they had no biscuits out but instead they had chips. Biscuits with gravy go better with the chicken then the chips Please do better in that area
Very clean place. They only had 2 or 3 kinds of pizza available at once, I feel that's not good enough for a place known as a "pizza buffet." Overall, did not live up to reputation or expectations for me. Staff could also be more personable. Parking: Very spacious lot. Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible. Dietary restrictions: Would not come here if your on a diet.
Absolutely the worst meal we have had in some time. Our son chose Pizza Ranch as his birthday dinner tonight. We got there at about 4 pm and there were a couple tables there already. There were 5 of us and our kids are all over 10 so we paid adult meal prices. We went up to the buffett to find the soup broth was all dehydrated and what was left of the noodles were burning. The lettuce tray was filled with brown lettuce and what you could pick out was oddly sweet tasting. The hello had a film on it so bad my 13 year old nearly lost what she had already ate when she tried it. There was no fresh pizzas - the pickles on the bacon cheeseburger pizza looked like dehydrated cucumbers, the crust on most of the pizzas was hard and the pepperoni looked dried out. The hot food had chicken that was decent - that is about the only good thing we had. The noodles were sitting in oil and the ones not touching the oil were so dried out it looked like they forgot to boil them. The loaded mashed potatoes were on the verge of dehydration as well. The red sauce had sat there so long it had a thick film on it as did the gravy. We were there about an hour and many more people came - probably 10 - 15. As we were leaving they finally brought out fresh potatoes and chicken but that was it. About 5 mins before leaving, a waitress finally came to our table for the first time to clear our plates stacked in front of us. We have never had such an awful meal at a PR but we will NOT be back anytime soon. Nearly $100 for $5 worth of decent food. What a bummer on my son's birthday!
We’ve never been to a Pizza Ranch before and decided to try it tonight. This place is filthy, the floor is disgusting, and everyone seems grumpy. My kids loved the food so there’s a plus, but my wife and I left wondering if we’d ever come back.
Normally we choose this place over anywhere if we're in the area. Our experience yesterday was not great. The employees were in the back most the time. The place was so dirty. Food and soda slopped all over the floors, the buffet area was just as sloppy. The pizza selection was very minimal, with no desert pizzas at all. The salad bar had no lettuce. And as I said we couldn't ask for more, as the employees were nowhere to be found. Most tables had 10 or more dirty plates piled up at a time. And all we could find for silverware were knives. Not worth $80 for our family of 5, thats for sure.
Our experience at this location was terrible today. Waited for around 40 minutes just to be able to pay to eat, there was hardly any food and obviously we paid full price my family literally got maybe two items. The salad bar was empty, the dessert pizza's were empty, the hot foods were slim to done, the was very little silverware, the pop was not good either flat or too much carbonation. Another customer who was also extremely upset told me that he over heard a bunch of people complaining to the manager and apparently more than half the staff didn't show up and that's why the wait is so long and there's no food. If you are that low on workers and food just close for the day rather then let people spend that much money for no foor and an awful experience.
Pizza Ranch is one of these restaurants that remind me of one in Indiana called Shakey's, where you sit down eat your pizza/food, and then play video games, then have you some ice cream cones. Oh yeah they do have ice cream machine. I like that it's a buffet so you can choose wht you want. Really the food was great and a nice atmosphere.
