Ordered the chicken skillet. What a soupy concoction and because I had a school fund raiser coupon they wouldn’t give me a side. Never been here and their coupon brought me in BUT won’t return! Should have went with first impression—they don’t even clean their front doors! Gummy and foggy glass! Ugh. *UPDATE* Upper management asked to contact them with my phone number to discuss further BUT they never followed up.
Update; After corporate got after the owner several times I was told they were offering a free pizza for compensation. Instead they didn't take my order when I mentioned this. ...so don't contact PD when they respond I guess...? I ordered a medium pizza that was supposed to be free. It was an offer with a gift card purchase. I would not have bought the gift card without this offer. Your staff refused to honor your free pizza coupon. I was told they rang it through earlier and could not undo that. I had mentioned the coupon twice when I ordered. It was the first thing I said. I'm told you don't have a button to redo the transaction. That isn't my problem. You need to fix your system and honor your offers. The toppings on the pizza were also incorrect.
First of all we were greeted with silence. We weren’t asked if we wanted any drinks, we had to ask. Wait time for food was 20 minutes which isn’t a complaint, but when we received our food it wasn’t hot. The entire restaurant was empty besides us and 1 other family, it seemed like the place was going out of business. We expected it to be busier on a Friday night. It was so cold we had to eat with our coats on. Even the staff were wearing their coats -turns out they had the air conditioner on In the middle of January??? Our waitress was very kind she gave us an extra donair sauce free of charge, and even looked for if they had any mints to give us we really appreciated that. Overall our pizza and garlic fingers were good but the atmosphere was very erie and strange. Empty restaurant freezing cold with a flashing bulb in the corner.
Firstly, the people taking orders do not listen to what is being said. I ordered something and asked for no cheese and yet, I got cheese. I am lactose intolerant and get sick when I eat cheese, so that's not a happy sight when something you specifically asked for something not to be included. Dairy is an allergen just like fish and meat, people should be taking it seriously. Secondly, another order was completely taken down wrong. "Super" donairs have nothing super to them. When asked for two regular super donairs I was greeted with two very small portions. Also, when told how the pasta was cooked this was what I was told: everything is microwaved, so it will be 25 minutes. Wow. For the money you pay to get such small portions, you would at least think that things would be being cooked fresh. Other places can do it, so why can't they? Dietary restrictions: They did not listen to my dietary restrictions when I specifically told them that I could not have dairy of any kind and then put cheese all over what I ordered.
UPDATE: After reaching out twice directly to Pizza Delight in the last month at the email address they provided, we have still not received a reply. We are regular customers of PD, they are our usual go to for pizza night because of their location. But this was not our first negative experience Last weekend we ordered through DoorDash and we’re notified our order would be ready in 30 min. Upon arriving to pick up our simple order, we were told that it hadn’t been made yet and would be another 20 minutes. After 20 min it was still not ready and were told again we’d have to wait. When we inquired about canceling the order we were told that because it was place through DoorDash it wasn’t an option. An hour after the original pick up time our order was finally ready. The manager was not friendly or apologetic. No offer of extra product or discount was made to make up for the inconvenience. The food was good and consistent. Upon sharing our story with friends it appears we are not the only ones experiencing poor customer service at the Cornwall Pizza Delight. We’d like to support this local business but won’t until we hear things have improved.
Not recommended!! I placed my order at 4pm. Was told to pickup in 35 mins. Got there at 435pm 35 mins later and my order wasn’t ready. In fact I had to wait another 25 mins at the restaurant before I got my order I ordered a 12” pizza and 9” nachos. So angry by the time I got my food and it wasn’t even hot! Shouldn’t it be hot if it just came out of the oven??? Why did I have to wait an extra 25 minutes for cold food? I will not be returning. Save yourself the grief and eat some place else.
This is now the second time in row,walk-in at 7pm and they’re closing at 8pm and they say we don’t serve you…even not a take out. Those people didn’t born in canada and if there’s falling 1cm of snow they’ll going home earlier what a boneless g.y people If you want running a restaurant and will earn money make sure that you’re open at least till 10pm and if you can’t handle that throw out all the chairs and tables and start a bookstore than you’ll home at 5pm,Jesus Christ. I’ll say think about this written text above and change your mind and if not I hope that you get bankrupt asap! Have a nice weekend..
We went for lunch with our kids and it wasn't busy AT ALL. There was only three other tables and one just finished. We sat there for ten minutes weren't even asked if we wanted drinks. It would be one thing if it was just my wife and I but we had three children with us. So we just left. The service wasn't just terrible. It was nonexistent. GET IT TOGETHER!
Excellent services from the waitress as it was busy she did check in multiple times and was very attentive to the tables needs! Food came out in a timely manor and was very delicious! Probably the best one left on the Island!Food: 5/5
A big ZERO for Customer Service. The people on the phone are rude, and have no common sense. A simple request and they just want to make things as difficult as possible. Spent $350 on gift cards but they couldn’t use common sense when we asked to help us with an issue. I would NOT recommend this location to ANYONE.
