Pizzéria Paquet Sainte-Catherine

Never got my order! Waited 1:30 to call back, then waited again and the restaurant was closed.

They have THE BEST poutine by far!! I tried the Italian one and I don't regret it at all

So, after eating here I find the 500 google reviews to be suspect. I hate beating up a restaurant. But this place needs to be razed to the ground. The server was super sweet and helpful. But the food tasted- and I am not exaggerating - like a twelve-year old kids approximation of restaurant food. It is a pizza place that has no olive oil on premises. The pasta literally came out hard like the way pasta looks the day after, when you left it out on the counter. The poutins came out cold, and were stunningly bad. The sauces were basically ketchup and Tabasco mixed together. The Canadian tourist bureau should shutter this place because it gives Canadian food a bad name. Seriously. Either nobody in this city has ever eaten a real meal, or most of these 'good reviews are fake, or on the day we arrived, the owner made a 12 year old the chef and left him with some dough, pasta, hot-sauce ketchup and sugar and told him have at it. Oh, and the prices were super good. I saw a review saying that the food was expensive. It was not. Even mixed drinks were like $5. That being said, I would pay back twice the cost of the meal if I could erase the experience from my memory.

Had a cheese & a smoked meat pizza with some drinks.nThe food was tasty and they are not cheap on alcohol.nWill go there again.
