Decent place with authentic Mediterranean food cooked to order. I had the spicy chicken beast and asked for it hot, it was very good but not as hot as I would have liked. The beef kebab was cooked with onion and was decent but I wouldn't order it again as the beef was pretty hard to chew through. The greek salad was great, fresh feta cheese, tomatoes and olives with a pit still inside. Best thing I had was the baklava, and I think this was probably the best baklava I've ever had! Would highly recommend it to any fan of baklava, it was definitely made in house and the Crispy crunchy filo dough was perfect and the touch of honey was not overwhelming at all, mildly sweet I'd call it. Would definitely go back, especially for the baklava. Parking: Lots of free parking right outside.
I took my brother in law here for lunch. He grew up in France and would frequent the many Lebanese restaurants there. The food took him back to his youth and was as good as any he had in Paris Pita Gourmet is an unassuming gem.Food: 5/5
Worst gyro ever. Very disappointed of our lunch today. I have been to pita gourmet in numerous times in the past and everything was very good but this time was the worst experience ever. It is my fiancée’s and I first time to Pita Gourmet in like 3 years and we definitely noticed the difference. We got the chicken gyro and there was barely any chicken in it attached picture. The lentil soup was basically just lentils with TONS of pepper, the Shawarma plate was extra small, and it tasted terribly. For apps we ordered falafels and they were dry and cold. ANYTHING of what we ordered we liked. I usually do not like to be a Karen, but this were so hungry and this experience made me extra HANGRY. I left the whole gyro, and even told the server we were very dissatisfied and she did nothing to get us the manager or try to give us a discount. I’m still extra mad.
A++. Stopped in looking on my way back to the Syracuse airport. Really happy I did! The falafel pita and the tabouleh were outstanding. The Baba Ganoush was fantastic also, smokey and perfect consistency. 100% will be back!
My wife and I were passing through Cortland, NY looking for a good restaurant with vegan, gluten free menu options. We had dinner at Pita Gourmet and were very happy with the food quality, quantity, presentation and service. The friendly and knowledgeable waitress helped us make a great selection of vegan and gluten free options that we enjoyed for dinner and we had enough for next day's lunch. We did not try non vegan foods, but I have no reason to believe that it would not be as delicious as the vegan ones. I highly recommend Pita Gourmet!
Wonderful friendly family-owned restaurant with delicious options to make both my meat loving husband happy bacon cheeseburger wrap and me who prefers vegetarian options. The labneh leads to cravings.
The reviews don’t lie: this is easily one of the best places to eat in town, especially as a vegetarian/vegan. The food always tastes fresh and high-quality, with generous portions for a fair price. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean with a warm atmosphere. I love the Fabulous 5, which offers a tasty and healthy! variety of flavors and textures for your pita bread. Highly recommended!
Best restaurant in Cortland! Absolutely amazing staff who are kind, knowledgeable, and fast. The menu has something for everyone to enjoy, and all the food options are absolutely delicious. I make sure I eat here every time I'm in town, and I'm never disappointed. The grape leaves are my favorite, and you can't pass up the baba ganoush!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: No
Best food in the area - we live 4 hours away and my wife makes sure we get it every chance we can. Salads are phenomenal, only to be out done by their gyros. Baklava and grape leaves are amazing as well.
I ordered a large Greek Salad. I wish I looked at it before I left. For more than $12 you would expect a nice salad. It was very small, very skimpy and an absolute waste of.money. I was very disappointed. It was suppose to be my dinner but ended up being a side salad for the sandwich I had to make. I wish I could give zero stars.
