I like to try new BBQ places as they appear and was waiting for this place to open. It was definitely worth the wait. We ended up getting the Pit Masters combo. Got in 30 minutes before they closed so they ran out of rib tips but more than made up for it in brisket and pulled pork. Everything was great from the ribs to the chicken. Everything was well smoked and cooked in its own BBQ sauce completely complementing each meat. Got Mac and cheese and baked beans as sides which were exceptional. The beans were deliciously cooked and the Mac was made with lots of cheese, enough that it was slightly stringy. Also came with some delicious classic sweet corn bread. Definitely one of the best in the area. Get the Pit Masters to try everything and be impressed.
5-stars out of the gate thanks to the Chef Mark’s hospitality and the welcoming environment created by the rest of his team. The food is cooked daily and with an obvious level of pride since he steered me towards the best available choices via honesty and an appreciation for my business vs. clearing out the kitchen with my large order. I’d be a return patron even if the food was mediocre, which it wasn't. I ran the gamut of sides from baked beans, mac n’ cheese, potatoes, and creamy slaw; however, the star of the show was the collared greens. The family recipe impressed the masses and will continue to be a fan favorite. I avoided the brisket because the leaner option was all that remained, but the pulled pork, rib tips, and turkey were on point from a flavor standpoint. In the interest of complete transparency, the turkey was borderline dry but I anticipated that going into the order since it was all white meat and was likely cooked earlier that day. I’d try it again if I wasn't placing an order so late in the day. Additional perk, this joint has a pastry/desert shop next door. Bank on a savory and glutenous dinner if you opt to make these two places your go-to dinner stop one evening.
Excellent local BBQ place. Ribs are excellent with a unique flavor. Brisket was solid. Pulled pork yummy. Corn bread was unique with some garlic flavoring. No tables in there though, so you have to get things to go. Super friendly staff. Looking forward to my next craving for ribs
The staff is very friendly. I ordered rib tips mac and cheese and potato salad. rib tips were fatty the mac and cheese was definitely Different. The potato salad didn't have any flavor. I also tried the banana pudding, it would have been great if it wasn't missing the bananas. Unfortunately I was very disappointed and won't be returning. On the other hand my dog enjoyed it!!!
I usually don't give this bad of a review but when the tiny cup of coleslaw was the best thing we received I have to give two stars. We ordered the rib tips and peach cobbler to be delivered. The tips were soaked in sauce I think instead of on the side to hide the fact that there was only bone bits with only a little meat. I have had them so know what to expect but it was unacceptable! There was NO meat! The peach cobbler tasted like an old refrigerator. So disappointed for the 6.00$ delivery fee on top of yuck!
So I took a chance on Pit Stop. Not bad at all. I ordered the three meat combo, which was ribs, brisket, and chicken. Brisket was tender and flavorful, as was the chicken. Ribs weren’t bad, but I seriously wanted to get more brisket. Very friendly and they didn’t make me wait long. I’d definitely return. Thanks Pit Stop!
Stopped in today for the first time and was impressed. Food was very good, ribs were awesome and mac n cheese was as well. Definately a good addition to the neighborhood, owner was friendly and gave us a sample to try before ordering, will be going again!
I waited for you to open and i was not disappointed. I had the giant platter with everything. A slab of ribs. Plus chicken dinner. Oh and 1 of every cake, pudding, and cobbler. DELICIOUS!! I will definitely be back. The cashier was beautiful and a big help. Very kind. Helped me take all the food to my bike and helped me load in the the trunk. This place has great food . To all the riders out there please check them out.
So my fiancé and I just feasted after we’ve been waiting for this to open and it was pretty great! I would just like to start by saying that the place is really squeaky clean and the staff working were very friendly. Every single one asked us how we were doing and the woman at the register gave suggestions. We tried the meat sampler option which was a pretty good deal. They were out of turkey so we doubled up on ribs. All the food is made fresh in house. For sides we got Mac n cheese, creamy coleslaw and broasted potatoes. We also had garlic bread that came with our deal and we threw on a side of corn bread. Our favorite meats: brisket, rib tips, pulled pork. The ribs weren’t very meaty and on the dryer side but had good flavor. We also came in at 7pm so I would be willing to try the ribs again if we came in for lunch. Brisket and tips melted in your mouth. Chicken tasted like a good rotisserie chicken and the sausage was good as well with a little kick. For sides the broasted potatoes were good but nothing special. The coleslaw was yummy, it wasn’t very sweet or overly creamy so I was a fan. Now the Mac n cheese I could BATHE in it was soo good and I could see myself popping in just to get some Mac n cheese. Garlic bread that came with the meal was super fluffy and fresh. The cornbread was dry and not sweet I’ve had much worse before but wouldn’t get it again. And they only have one sauce that we got on the side, it was really good and similar to like a sweet baby rays. Honestly when discussing with my fiancé on what we would rate, we have to give a 5, even despite some minor things the brisket, rib tips and mac make up for it. So good we will definitely be back!
What a rotten experience. I have tried many BBQ place, this is the worst! The brisket was under cooked by hours. I had ordered sliced brisket. Instead of giving me the flat of brisket, I had gotten slices of the point. I will not even get into about the sub-par sides.
