Fantastic little park, beautiful and a lot to learn! We actually ended up spending 3+ hours there even with the 4 kids (age 3, 4, 10, 13) and no complaining. Highly recommend this stop.

So peaceful. Travis Erickson (Indigenous person who was showing me how he works with pipestone), taught me a lot about how the pipestone. He even gave me a piece to take home. The place is magical.

Nice short walk through beautiful rocks, waterfall, look for prickly pear cactus (yes, cactus in Minnesota) growing along the path at the top of the cliff.

VERY interesting active historical site. There is an informative visitor center and you can walk the trail through the quarry that includes a nice waterfall.

Good learning experience. Not a whole lot to see, but definitely worth the visit. We were only there for a few minutes right before they closed, so didn't get to see everything. Walked part of the trail, but didn't know we were supposed to pay admission, oops. $7 admission charge for adults seems reasonable.
