Pioneer Saloon

About

If you haven't been to The Pioneer Saloon, you haven't been to Ketchum!

Story

The Pioneer Saloon, renowned for perfectly aged, tender and flavorful beef, is typical of an earlier Idaho where ore wagons rattled down Main Street and business was done with a handshake and a drink. Natural woods, mounted game, and period firearms help recreate an authentic saloon atmosphere.

Very classy and nice atmosphere. Had to wait for about 20 minutes, get there as early as you can. We arrived 15 minutes after it opened and it already had a wait. We went to order just appetizers the famous Jim Spud and our waitress seemed a little taken aback. Great food though.
The setting and food was outstanding. We had the pioneer cut which was cooked to perfection pair with a stunning Walla Walla bottle of wine. However the best was our service, our waiter PabloI hope I got that rightwas phenomenal. Energetic, engaging and thoughtful!! Thank you sir for a wonderful evening.
This place is a must!!!! If you are in Sun Valley you must eat here. It is a local and tourist staple for good reason... its just fantastic! Go!
I don’t eat meat which is 95% of the menu, but I have so many good memories of this place. Great big baked potatoes and lots of meat. Good drinks. This is an excellent place to go for a nice dinner after a long day in the mountains or on the river.
It's a little pricey, which would be ok if it was better value. The bread was good. The baked potato that's $4 to add to your entree was huge. The prime rib, which I heard was their specially, had no flavor and was pretty tough. I did enjoy their horseradish.
Personable bartenders, wonderful prime rib, great atmosphere. Worth the trip!
Great service. The waitress was very friendly and engaging.
Great steaks, massive potatoes, and an interesting bar to entertain the eye. Matt the bartender is a cool guy and makes your time at the bar pleasant. I wish I could have come back a second night.
