Pioneer Park Campground

Nice USFS campground, but although they say the sites accommodate large RVs, getting into them is another story. The angles are tight, many of the parking pads are on hills, and oftentimes there are obstacles, e.g. large boulders, restrooms, steep embankments, directly across from the campsites' access, which severely limits maneuverability. Also, river access is down a long, steep staircase, and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

Private sites. Friendly camp hosts. Nice day use areas.

I dont appreciate being harassed by a big headed camp host! First i am told i cannot ride my schooter in the park, dispite my disabilities, than i am told to put away my outdoor bbq. Cause of fire season? I told her i wouldnt use it, but she insisted i put it away. Its funny cause other campers could use thier bbqs. What is wrong with people?

It's a great place with not much traffic, with bear food storage containers, and long drive-ins for RVs, this is site number 12 in the pictures
