My family and I are from Minnesota and we had gone to the pumpkin patch the opening weekend. I was really excited because the kids love our weekend trips and I had heard some good things about the place. However, some of their staff, more specifically, the one owner as I was told that was her title, was not very friendly. She was one of the first people we had seen and the first impression was a sour one. She seemed overwhelmed and almost like she didn't want to be there. She didn't have very good people skills and brushed us off when we had asked questions. It just started the trip off on the wrong foot. For being a pumpkin patch they didn't have very many pumpkins to choose from and the patch itself was full of weeds and thistles making it hard to get actually get to a pumpkin. They're supposed to be known for their cupcakes and they were also lack-luster. Scratch cupcakes, which we've had on multiple occasions, are far better! Although the kids had an okay time, we will not be going back and will be searching for a new pumpkin patch for Octobers family trip. Save your money and search for a different fall family place.

The bakery is awesome here! Love the variety in cupcakes and fudge when looking to buy a treat for an event!

I was in Decorah last week for a touristy visit and stopped in at Pinters candies and gifts store. As me and my boyfriend walked around we were trying to figure out which candy did not have gelatin, seeing as my boyfriend cannot eat it but LOVES this type of candy. To my surprise one of the ladies working started to help us, she went as far as to get a book that had all the candies ingredients and helped us locate exactly which candies did and did not contain the ingredient. She was more then pleasant and I could not help but feel so touched and grateful that she would go so out of her way for strangers. I had to get her name before we left and I think we will come back just so we can stop in and see Barb.
That is what customer service should be!

My Husband and I had a wonderful time taking our Granddaughter on Grandparents Day. There were so many things to do besides the pumpkin patch, which you went to by hayrack ride; The pumpkin cannon/sling shots, the corn maize which had stations to search for then mark off, too many children's games to mention, goats/alpacas/chickens etc. to feed, a large bouncy thing that my Granddaughter talked me into jumping on with her. There were lots of yummy treats but I just tried the kettle corn, hot apple cider and homemade pumpkin cupcake. They had a band playing music and I found the staff very helpful and it was very well organized to handle all those people. One of my favorites was playing tetherball with my Granddaughter and I was winning which her Grandpa didn't think was quite fair so he decided to help her so then I lost but only because I couldn't stop laughing enough to hit the ball. This is one of the reasons I do look forward to fall. Very fun for children and adults alike but really tired us out and cancelled all remaining plans for the day.
