Story

Such a shame, The Pilsen used to be such a fun restaurant. Our Valentine's meal was very disappointing. For $26 you get what would barely pass for an appetizer in most restaurants. My wife and I were BOTH starving when we left from a very bland, under-portioned, $90 lunch. I had to go out and get a sandwich directly afterwards. Our final visit to what used to be a favorite restaurant.

Very scenic, right on the water. Hit and miss with the food. Service very slow. Chicken wings tiny and dry but sandwiches tasty and appealing. Long beer list and good wine offerings. Excellent brewed coffee

Food was okay but very expensive for what we got. Very negative experience with the waiter. The restaurant was full of flies. One flew into my wine glass (3/4 full). When I told the waiter, he asked me whether I wanted him to take it out! When I said I wanted another glass he said that as soon as the food is on the table it is no longer the restaurant's responsibility "that is your wine". I replied "that is your fly". He took the glass away and replaced it (I think) but it should not have taken sarcasm (on my part) to resolve. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Pappardelle is one of my favorite pastas and I got a delicious, creamy dish with a giant prawn and scallops. I found the sweet potato fries well seasoned but a little on the salty side, and the mayo would’ve been better garlicky than salty.
