The Academy offers a great program for young athletes and students. Great coaches, amazing staff and community. Our son is there for a second year and we definitely recommend this Academy to anyone who wants to move to next level in hockey and be surrounded by great people who cares.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy is such a great program with skilled, knowledgeable caring staff. The academy is a family owned business situated in a small community. Our son played for three years at the academy and moved far away from home. We always felt that he had gone to live as part of a family that was able to further his hockey goals. The town embraces the athletes, the academy expects high standards from the players. The school has very supportive staff that is willing to help students achieve their goals while also travelling on the road. The hockey exposure is exceptional playing in leagues in Canada and the USA. Our son has had many invites to junior camps as well as some college showcases because of his involvement in the Academy. The Academy staff have many connections to help further players dreams and goals. Having just one female and one male team the players get special individual attention. This program teaches life skills as well as hockey, it is well worth the money. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience.nCarmen and Dennis Ewart
We got to share our hotel with this organisation on a road trip in February and found that the teenagers had very poor public awareness, extremely poor manners and zero consideration for the other hotel guests.nThey might teach great hickey skills but there is more to being an athlete than ‘on ice’ performance.nThey did not seem to be encouraging or enforcing the basic people skills and public behaviour required to succeed at any vocation let alone a potentially high profile athletic career from either the staff or the accompanying parents.nThey need to be taught that there is only once chance to make a first impression.
Our daughter came to PMHA from a very under developed female program in Montana. Her growth and development in hockey has been tremendous over the course of the season. She grew into a strong and confident woman! Her aspirations are to play College level hockey in the USA, and we realize that in order to do so we needed more development on ice and off. PMHA has been the choice to meet her goals. Hockey Staff and coaches are excellent. Rod Collins is truly a dynamo to work with, he is very motivating. The Academy is very diverse and the kids learn respect for one another. Pilot Mound Collegiate has an excellent academic curriculum, and we realize that this school will get our daughter in shape and ready to write ACT/SAT. Very competitive high school for American college preparation. Principal Gardiner is great to work with and meet student needs. PMHA is truly an enriching environment.
Having this Hockey Academy in our community brings people from all over to Louise. The impact in our schools results in jobs. This business, like so many in Louise, has an economic impact that is incredible. Let alone the fantastic hockey skills that get taught to young people from all over.
