I was very excited to visit what is said to be the oldest house in Plymouth Massachusetts. The fee was minimal to enter but we had seen many historical houses on out Great American Roadtrip of 2019, so we chose to not do the tour.
A beautiful historic home, located not far from the historic waterfront. We enjoyed the guided tour very much. The tour fee was reasonable. John Howland is a direct descendent of mine so it was nice to see the inside of his first home.
This was a very humble and inspiring home to visit. The guide was very helpful as she told us about the home. She showed us which part was original and the parts that were added on a little later. It is incredible to think that this house is nearly 400 years old. It is definitely a treasure of our history.
Nice tour and very interesting. Well done.
Wonderful to visit, very friendly and informative tour.
Very cool house to visit in Plymouth.
This place is truly a piece of history. Built in 1667 with additions since. Original has been restored. Plenty on the family history and items from the earliest period on. Truly gives a feel for living at the time of the pilgrims. Cost is minimal for the tour. When in Plymouth, avoid the rock and spend time here instead.
The docent was very knowledgeable! There were three in our group and we had our own private tour. She was very informative and was very kind about answering our questions.
Awesome place to go especially if your a Howland!
Amazing historic site! You may find out you are related to the owner of the home.
