Pier 4 Cafe & Smoke House

While on a motorcycle trip, we ate here on the recommendation of some locals. Glad we listened. The smell of fresh cinnamon buns was too tempting to pass up. Food was fantastic and the staff, pleasant. Good view of the river while we ate breakfast. This will definitely be a staple on rides around WI

Not good from the get go. At the front door, cash or check only. Breakfast until 11:30am...on a Sunday!!! It's 2017. Get a credit card machine and pay the 4% fee. Raise your prices 4% if it's a hardship. Even fast food serves breakfast ALL day long! It's what people want. Had a chef salad. Fancy bitter greens only. Turkey stuffing croutons with sage flavor. Miniscule dab of dressings. All in all... terrible! Red the waitress was the best thing of the whole experience.

As always the food was good. The bad is the one hour wait after we ordered. We saw four tables of people come in after us, order food, eat pay and leave and we still did not have our food, one table of two came in over 30 minutes after us! I complained and strangely our food showed up in ten minutes. As I said the food was good but the service was ridiculous and they would do is offer the 4 of us one free roll, wow.

Nice view from the porch. Food was pretty tasty. Service was slow, but friendly.
